Knitted member for an article of footwear

A warp knit element for an article of footwear includes a plurality of strap members that are separated by a slit. The strap members are formed of unitary knit construction to be joined at a junction. Edges that define the strap member extend generally in a warp direction on the knit element. The knit element can provide stretch resistance to the article of footwear.

COMPRESSION ARTICLE

A compression article and method for its production on a flat-bed knitting machine are provided for providing an improved fit to a body part. In the compression article, respectively the number of stitches per stitch row is matched to the radial circumference of the body part to be treated by the compression article. The compression article has a plurality of points which are distributed over its circumference and at which, in a stitch row, at least one of a stitch increase and a stitch reduction is realized. The number of stitches in the wale direction varies over the circumference of the compression article and is matched, in the longitudinal direction of the body part, to the shape of the body part to be treated.

Upper-torso garment with tubular-jacquard knit structure

An upper-torso garment includes a tubular-jacquard knit structure in a chest-covering portion. The tubular-jacquard knit structure is divided into a plurality of zones across the chest-covering portion, and the zones may include different versions of the tubular-jacquard knit structure.

Fabrics prepared from a modified every course style with courses of spandex covered with rigid yarn and bare spandex plated with rigid yarn and their use in production of fabrics and elastified knitted garments are provided.

HYDROENTANGLED COMPOSITE FABRIC

The present disclosure describes a hydroentangled composite fabric. The composite fabric includes a base woven fabric having a plurality of warp yarns and a plurality of weft yarns interwoven with the plurality of warp yarns. The composite fabric also includes a web of nonwoven fibers hydroentangled with and within the plurality of warp yarns and the plurality of weft yarns, such that the nonwoven fibers are substantially entangled with fibers of the plurality of warp yarns and fibers of the plurality of weft yarns.

Knitted component with a fused area

A knitted component having a first region located adjacent to a perimeter edge of the article, where the first region of the knitted component includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface may include a fused area formed with a thermoformed thermoplastic material included with a first yarn. The inner surface may be at least partially formed with the second yarn and may substantially exclude the thermoplastic material.

UPPER FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING A KNITTED COMPONENT WITH A FUSED AREA

An upper for an article of footwear may include a knitted component having a first region located adjacent to an outer edge of the upper, where the first region of the knitted component includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface may include a fused area formed with a thermoformed thermoplastic material included with a first yarn. The inner surface may be at least partially formed with the second yarn and may substantially exclude the thermoplastic material.

ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH MULTIPLE LAYERS, RETENTION SYSTEM FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE

A knitted component may form at least a portion of an article of footwear. For example, a first knit layer may be located on an inner side of an article of footwear such that the first layer is adjacent to a void, and a second layer may at least partially surround the first layer and form an outer surface of the article of footwear. An interstitial space may be formed between the first layer and the second layer. At least one pocket may be located within the interstitial space.

Footwear includes an inner knitted fabric (5) and an outer knitted fabric (4) that are connected by a stitch row at a top line (6). In the footwear, wale directions of the inner knitted fabric and the outer knitted fabric are different, and/or, the outer knitted fabric is provided with a portion made of a knitted structure (50) with holes, and the inner knitted fabric arranged on the inner side of that portion is made of a knitted structure (60) whose stretchability is lower than that of another portion of the inner knitted fabric. A difference in stretchability between the vertical and horizontal directions of the footwear provided with a double layer knitted fabric is reduced, or a difference in stretchability depending on the position in the footwear is reduced.

A first fabric of footwear comprising a closed lower end forming a toe and an open upper end and a second fabric that is open on a side opposite the first fabric is knitted on on front and back needle beds of a flat knitting machine. Double stitches formed between stitches at the upper end of the first fabric and between stitches at the upper end of the second fabric are taken from the needle beds. Remaining stitches at the first fabric upper end are held on one needle bed, and remaining stitches at the second fabric upper end are held on the other needle bed. Fabrics that follow the remaining stitches at the first fabric upper end and the remaining stitches at the second fabric upper end are knitted toward the heel of the footwear.
