ARTIFICIAL TURF AND PRODUCTION METHOD
The invention provides for a method of manufacturing artificial turf (1000). The method includes creating a polymer mixture, such as polymer mixture (400), where the polymer mixture is at least a three-phase system. The polymer mixture includes a first polymer, a second polymer and a compatibilizer. The first polymer is a polyamide (PA) and the second polymer is a polyethylene (PE). The first polymer is included in an amount of 0.125 percent to 5 percent by weight, the second polymer is included in an amount of 60 percent to 97 percent by weight and the compatibilizer is included in an amount of 0.375 percent to 15 percent by weight. The first polymer and the second polymer are immiscible, and the first polymer forms polymer beads surrounded by the compatibilizer within the second polymer.
Recyclable artificial turf and HDPE backing layer for recyclable artificial turf
The present invention relates to a polyethylene backing layer for an artificial turf substrate consisting essentially of highly oriented, high density polyethylene filaments forming warp and weft threads, the high density polyethylene filaments having a density of at least 945 kg/m.sup.3 and a melt flow index of maximum 2 g/10 min. The invention further relates to filaments for making such a backing layer, a method for producing such filaments and an artificial turf substrate including such a backing layer.
ARTIFICIAL TURFS AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure provides a linear low density polyethylene composition, tapes, fibers and filaments, artificial turfs, and method of making the same. The linear low density polyethylene composition according to the present disclosure exhibits each of the following properties: (1) a CEF fraction from 70 to 90 C. of equal to or greater than 80% of the total CEF fractions; (2) a melt index, I.sub.2, measured according to ASTM D 1238 (2.16 kg@190 C.), in the range of equal to or greater than 2.0 g/10 min and equal to or less than 5.0 g/10 min; and (3) a melt flow ratio, I.sub.10/I.sub.2, of equal to or less than 6.7.
Artificial turf mat and method for manufacturing thereof
An artificial turf mat includes a backing and a plurality of protruding artificial grass blades divided into rows and connected to the backing. The mutual distance between successive blades in a row is substantially equal to the distance between adjacent rows and is at least 10 mm. The backing and the blades may be formed and mutually connected by weaving. A method for forming an artificial turf mat includes supplying a backing material, supplying an artificial turf material, forming a backing from the backing material, and connecting blades of the artificial turf material divided into rows to the backing. The blades may be connected to the backing such that their mutual spacing in a row is substantially equal to the mutual distance between adjacent rows and is at least 10 mm.
METHOD FOR PREPARING SIMULATED LAWN
A method for preparing a simulated lawn is provided, which comprises wiredrawing, coiling, weaving and post-processing raw materials, to obtain a simulated lawn product, wherein the weaving is straight yarn-curled yarn-interlacing weaving, in which one line of curled yarn is weaved between two adjacent straight yarns, and spacing between adjacent straight yarns is to inches and knitting needle number is 150 to 350 needles/meter.
MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL TURF
A machine for manufacturing artificial turf includes a fiber inserter configured to incorporate artificial turf fiber into an artificial turf backing to form the artificial turf. The artificial turf includes an underside and an artificial turf surface. The machine further includes a coater configured to coat the underside with a colloidal latex coating. The colloidal latex coating has an exposed surface. The machine further includes an applicator configured to welt an exposed surface of the colloidal latex coating with an anti-blistering agent. The machine further includes a heater configured to heat the underside to cure the colloidal latex coating into a solid latex coating.
Artificial Turf for Simulating Natural Grass
An artificial turf simulating natural grass, including: a base fabric, artificial grass yarns tufting on the base fabric and a latex backing on the back of the base fabric. The artificial grass yarns have at least two different forms including a straight form and a curly form, and the straight artificial grass yarns have at least two different colors. Alternatively, the artificial grass yarns have at least a straight form and a curly form tuft on a base fabric and the straight artificial grass yarns are provided with at least two different colors, such that the appearance of the formed artificial turf has a better natural grass simulation effect, and combinations can be made according to specific functional requirements of the application of the artificial turf, thus improving applicability of the artificial turf.
ARTIFICIAL TURF MONOFILAMENTS AND METHODS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE
The present application relates to artificial turf monofilaments (100) and to methods of their manufacture.
Patterned Tufted Articles, Surface Coverings Comprising Same, And Systems And Methods Of Making and Using Same
A tufted article (e.g., an artificial turf panel) having a backing and a plurality of tufts extending through the backing. The plurality of tufts are distributed among a plurality of patterned regions. Each patterned region has at least one tuft of the plurality of tufts. The tufts of each patterned region differ from the tufts of at least one other patterned region of the tufted article in at least one of color, pile height, yarn type, or yarn density. At least one patterned region creates a longitudinal discontinuity in the color pattern of the tufted article. The tufted article does not have a seam. Complementary side edges of the tufted articles can be secured together to form at least a portion of the surface covering without the need for cutting or the use of inlay components.
