USED PAPER DIAPER PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS
In a processing tank where a processing liquid is stored up to a first water level, first stirring processing that removes water from a used paper diaper is performed to remove the water from the used paper diaper. Then, the processing liquid is stored up to a second water level higher than the first water level, and second stirring processing that separates excrement contained in the used paper diaper from the used paper diaper is performed to separate the excrement from the used paper diaper. After that, dehydration processing is performed.
PURIFIED MEDICINAL CANNABIS NON-HEMP HURD FIBER, AND ARTICLES CONTAINING THE SAME
Provided are purified ozonated medicinal cannabis non-hemp hurd fiber, and refined ozonated medicinal cannabis non-hemp hurd fiber, and compositions containing the ozonated medicinal cannabis non-hemp hurd fiber or refined ozonated medicinal cannabis non-hemp hurd fiber, the compositions including packaging products, molded pulp cartons such as egg cartons, smoking papers, paper packaging materials, single ply or multi-ply paperboard, absorbent paper products, and ink receptive papers.
ANAEROBIC DIGESTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
An anaerobic digestion system may include a material grinding/pulping portion, a hydrolysis portion arranged downstream of the grinding portion, a multiple chamber anaerobic reactor arranged downstream from the hydrolysis portion and including a gas collection and reintroduction system, a collection system for collecting digestate and gas from the anaerobic reactor.
Method for recovering pulp fibers from used absorbent article
A method is provided for recovering pulp fibers having little damage from a used absorbent article that contains pulp fibers and a superabsorbent polymer. The used absorbent article is treated at a temperature of greater than or equal to 80 C. with an organic acid aqueous solution having a pH no greater than 2.5, and the superabsorbent polymer is deactivated. Preferably, the pulp fibers and the deactivated superabsorbent polymer are separated from the used absorbent article after treatment with the organic acid aqueous solution, and further, a mixture including the separated pulp fibers and deactivated superabsorbent polymer is treated with an oxidizing agent, the deactivated superabsorbent polymer is decomposed, reduced in molecular weight and solubilized.
Methods for preparing cannabis hurd fiber, purified cannabis hurd fiber, and articles containing the purified cannabis hurd fiber
Provided are purified Cannabis hurd fiber, and refined Cannabis hurd fibers, and methods for preparing cellulosic fiber from the hurd of Cannabis plants. The methods include decorticating the bast from the hurd, at least partially fibrillating the hurd fibers, abiotic retting of the hurd fibers, and exposing the hurd fibers to synthetic sunlight and ozonation to produce a purified hurd fiber. The purified Cannabis hurd fibers are substantially free of bast fiber, and have little to no pectin. Also provided are compositions containing the Cannabis hurd fiber or refined Cannabis hurd fiber, including packaging products, molded pulp cartons such as egg cartons, smoking papers, paper packaging materials, single ply or multi-ply paperboard, absorbent paper products and ink receptive papers.
Binder, sheet manufacturing apparatus, sheet manufacturing method, and sheet
Provided are a binder useful for making sheets processed to effectively prevent misfeeds, a sheet manufacturing apparatus capable of desirably manufacturing sheets processed to effectively prevent misfeeds, a sheet manufacturing method, and a sheet processed to effectively prevent misfeeds. The binder for binding fiber to make sheets includes resin; and polyhydric alcohol that is a solid at room temperature and changes to liquid phase when heated. The content of polyhydric alcohol to 100 parts by weight resin is greater than or equal to 0.1 parts by weight and less than or equal to 20 parts by weight polyhydric alcohol.
PROCESSES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS FOR CHEMO-MECHANICAL CELLULAR EXPLOSION AND SOLID AND LIQUID PRODUCTS MADE BY THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a process, comprising: combining one or more additives with a feedstock to obtain a first mixture, the feedstock comprising a fibrous material and water, the fibrous material comprising lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose; and conditioning the first mixture to obtain a liquid product and a dry pulp product. Also disclosed herein are condition processes and machines for use with the same. Also disclosed herein are liquid products, dry pulp products, and fibrous pellets made by the disclosed processes, and methods of using the same.
PROCESS TO RECOVER A PORTION OF POST-RECYCLING MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE
This specification describes a system and process for treating waste, for example municipal solid waste (MSW) or post-recycling municipal solid waste. The system includes a press and a pulper. The press is adapted to provide a wet fraction of the waste suitable for anaerobic digestion and rejects. The pulper is adapted to receive the rejects and produce pulp. The pulper may be, for example, a drum pulper. In the process, waste is separated into a press into an organic fraction and rejects. The organic fraction is treated by way of anaerobic digestion. The rejects are separated, optionally in a drum pulper, to produce a fraction containing pulp. The pulp can be re-used to make paper or other products. In some case, 70% or more or 80% or more of MSW can be diverted from landfill.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECOVERING PULP FIBERS FROM USED ABSORBENT ARTICLES
Provided is a method that, when pulp fibers are recovered from used absorbent articles that have been put into collection bags, makes it possible to safely and sanitarily crush the used absorbent articles while suppressing costs. A method for recovering pulp fibers from used absorbent articles, the method comprising: a crushing step (S12) in which collection bags (A) in which used absorbent articles have been sealed are put into a container (65), the collection bags in the container are transferred to a crushing device (12) that communicates with the container, and, bag by bag, the crushing device crushes the used absorbent articles in the collections bags in a deactivating aqueous solution; and a separation step (S13) in which the pulp fibers, a highly water-absorbent polymer, and the deactivating aqueous solution are separated from the crushed product and deactivating aqueous solution obtained in the crushing step.
High-concentration mixer for producing a cellulose suspension having a high cellulose concentration
