Dual release dosage form capsule and methods, devices and systems for making same
Capsule forming machines that form a dual dosage capsule have superimposed upper and lower plates that are each rotatable about an axis of rotation. Each of the upper and lower plates define a plurality of voids for receiving a shell body or a capsule member of a capsule that are positioned to define a plurality of stations. A first distribution device is operatively positioned at one of the plurality of stations of each of the upper and lower plates and an actuator is operatively connected to either of the upper or lower plates. The actuator moves the upper plate or the lower plate relative to the other plate and/or pivots the upper plate or the lower plate relative to the other plate transverse to the rotational axis to move a capsule assembly station thereof toward to the other plate and then away from the other plate at predetermined times.
System and method for monitoring/detecting and responding to infant breathing
This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in an infant's heartbeat. One or more sensing devices may collect infant heartbeat related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in infant heartbeat. If infant heartbeat is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.
Capsule with reduced powder leakage
The present invention relates to a capsule shell with two parts, a cap and a body, the two parts engage telescopically with each other, the capsule shell is used for storing solid substances in powder or granular form and shows a minimized leakage rate of powder when the capsule shell is filled with the solid substances in powder form and is closed.
