DEVICE FOR MEDICAL BREATHING TREATMENT
A breathing treatment delivery device is disclosed for providing atomized medicine or oxygen to a patient. The breathing treatment delivery device can include a supply device configured to dispense atomized medicine or oxygen through a dispensing end of the supply device. A cap can have a device side and a delivery side, the device side including an opening receiving and in fluid communication with the dispensing end of the supply device. A treat holder can be positioned on the delivery side of the cap. At least one aperture can be defined in the delivery side of the cap adjacent the treat holder, a pneumatic passage formed through the cap between the opening in the device side of the cap and the aperture. A patient can enjoy a piece of candy or other treat retained by the treat holder during treatment while breathing in the desired medicine or oxygen.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING SUBTANCES FOR IMPROVED WELLBEING
A method and apparatus to deliver biological altering substances through body cavities including ears, nose, mouth, anus and vagina, utilizing at least osmotic, olfactory and inhaling transfusion of active ingredients includes a first reservoir configured to be disposed against sublingual surfaces and hold a first drug. The device is configured to transmit the first drug through sublingual surfaces into the bloodstream. A second reservoir, coupled to the first reservoir, is disposed below a nostril, and configured to hold a substance and transmit the substance into air passing from the exterior of the nostril into the nasal cavity.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE REMOVAL OF EAR WAX
The present invention includes compositions and methods for the treatment, softening and removal of ear wax by administering to the ear a solution of a semi-fluorinated alkane according to the formula: RFRH or RFRHRF, wherein RF is a perfluorinated hydrocarbon segment with 20 or less carbon atoms, and RH is a non-fluorinated hydrocarbon segment with 3 to 20 carbon atoms.
SAFETY HANDLE
The present invention relates generally to devices and methods for treating ear infections and clearing excess fluid from Eustachian tubes.
THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITION AND CONFIGURATION
A system intended to be employed for therapeutic purposes incorporates an active ingredient (e.g., a source of nicotine). Representative forms of nicotine include free base (e.g., as a mixture of nicotine and microcrystalline cellulose), a nicotine salt (e.g., as nicotine bitartrate) and nicotine polacrilex. The system preferably comprises a lozenge incorporating the active ingredient, adapted to provide oral administration of nicotine. The lozenge is in contact with a substrate (e.g., hollow tube) that can be manipulated within the mouth of the user (e.g., the hollow tube can be drawn upon to simulate the inhalation of cigarette smoke). As such, the active ingredient is administered and the user is able to experience certain other physiological sensations. The composition is useful for treatment of central nervous system conditions, diseases, and disorders, and can be used as a nicotine replacement therapy.
Devices and methods for promoting drainage of fluid from a eustachian tube
