The present disclosure generally relates to a dual spout pill storage and swallowing assist bottle device intended to be carried by a user. The bottle device includes two distinct drinking spouts and is configured to allow a user to both drink from the bottle device as normal and also drink from the bottle in a way to assist the user with swallowing a pill.

DRINKING STRAW FOR ADMINISTERING AN ACTIVE SUBSTANCE

A drinking straw for administering an active substance has a wall with a first end and with a second end. One of the two ends of the wall can be closed releasably with a closure element. A membrane, on which the active substance lies, is present in the region of the other end of the wall.

Small-volume oral transmucosal dosage forms

Small-volume oral transmucosal dosage forms or NanoTabs comprising a predetermined amount of a pharmaceutically active drug are provided. Exemplary applications include use of the NanoTabs to administer a drug for the treatment of acute, post-operative or breakthrough pain.

DEVICE FOR THE METERED FILLING OF A DRINKING STRAW WITH A FILLING MATERIAL

A device for the metered filling of a drinking straw with a filling material includes a material store as a storage container for the filling material. An opening is present in the base of the material store, the opening discharging from above into a compressed air channel. A closure device is provided for sealing the compressed air channel relative to the material store. At least one receiving unit is present for receiving at least one drinking straw, so that the at least one drinking straw is able to be positioned with its upper edge region on the end of the compressed air channel on the air outlet side.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE METERED FILLING OF A CONTAINER WITH A FILLING MATERIAL

A device for the metered filling of a container with a filling material includes a receiving unit for receiving a container and at least one material store as a storage container for the filling material. A defined quantity of the filling material is able to be removed from the at least one material store and transferred into the container by a filling unit. The filling unit includes at least one metering chamber which is displaceably mounted so that the metering chamber is present alternately in a first position and in a second position. In its first position the metering chamber is in contact with the material store so that filling material is able to be filled into the metering chamber from the material store. In its second position the metering chamber is arranged above the container so that the filling material located in the metering chamber is able to be emptied into the container. The container may, in particular, be a drinking straw.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to apparatuses and kits for providing palliative care. An exemplary apparatus comprises an elongate hollow shaft having a first and a second end. An absorbent material may be attached to the first end and the first end may be perforated such that the elongate hollow shaft may be filled with one or more liquid solutions that flow through the perforated end and disperse evenly throughout the absorbent material. A kit may additionally be provided for providing customized palliative care. The kit may comprise a means for injecting one or more liquid solutions into the elongate shaft. The kit may additionally comprise apparatuses that are prefilled with one or more liquid solutions.

PRE-FILLED DRINKING STRAW WITH A CROSS-SLIT VALVE CLOSURE ON BOTH ENDS
20190000719 · 2019-01-03 · ·

The invention is characterized in that the straw body (1) is consisting of two or more segments, which are attached together with connection (5) and that the straw body (1) on its both ends has a cross-slit valve (2, 3) closure and the valves (2, 3) and the straw body (1) are integrated by molecular adhesion. The inlet and outlet valves (2, 3) are of a slit type. The straw body (1) is preferably made of a thermoplastic material and the valves (2, 3) are preferably made of elastomer material. The edge of the straw body (1) is shaped to enable larger surface of the connection between the straw body (1) and the valve (2, 3). The said shape is preferably a groove (8). On the wall on the end of the straw body (1) a tongue-shaped groove (9) is formed on the surface side.

Hiccup relieving apparatus

The hiccup relieving apparatus includes a body with a first end having a mouthpiece, a second end having a restriction in the body between the first end and the second end. The restriction makes it difficult to draw fluid through the body to the user's mouth. The fluid can be air or the body can be immersed in water or other potable liquid in a container. The restriction requires an adult user, using the mouthpiece, to produce a threshold suction of for example water before water can flow from the water in the water container, through the body, through the mouthpiece, and to the user.

A polymeric tubular conduit including a polymeric tubular conduit wall having an outer tubular layer coaxially overlaying an inner tubular layer which defines a continuous tubular passage along a polymeric tubular conduit length of the polymeric tubular conduit; whereby the outer tubular layer, the inner tubular layer, or combinations thereof, include an amount of antimicrobial agent. The amount of antimicrobial agent can be sufficient to kill or inhibit growth of microorganisms in contact with a corresponding polymeric tubular conduit wall external surface, polymeric tubular conduit wall internal surface, or combinations thereof, of the polymeric tubular conduit wall.

Integrated ballistic helmet and gas mask

An integrated helmet and respirator system comprises a shell defining a helmet portion, the helmet portion being bounded by a peripheral edge. An annular shroud has an upper edge and a lower edge, the upper edge removably attached to the peripheral edge of the helmet portion and the lower edge attached to an annular frame member. A front portion of the annular shroud defines a visor. A one-way exhaust valve is received within an opening in the annular frame member. The one-way exhaust valve is configured to allow an exhalation gas exhaled by a user to exit an interior of the integrated helmet and respirator system and to prevent or minimize ambient air from entering the interior of the integrated helmet and respirator system. A neck dam extends downward from the frame and is configured to prevent or minimize ambient air from entering the interior of the integrated helmet and respirator system.
