A method for treating a pulp web in a paper or tissue machine with an extended-nip press unit. This extended-nip press unit includes a shoe press roll with a revolving press belt and a backing roll, where the pulp web is dewatered in the extended press nip between the backing roll and the press belt and where the pulp web is carried on the revolving press belt of the press roll after the extended press nip to a transfer fabric that receives the pulp web. The transfer fabric is guided over a stationary transfer device in the transfer area. A corresponding device for treating the pulp web.

The invention relates to a method for forming a three-layer board web, preferably a folding box board (FBB) or a solid bleached (sulfate) board (SBS), in a forming section (300) comprising a multilayer headbox (100) and a forming unit (200). In the method the layers of the three-layer board web are first formed of pulp suspension in the multilayer headbox (100) and fed to only one forming unit (200), which only one forming unit is a gap or combi type twin-wire former, for water removal and for joining the layers of the three-layer board web and water is first removed by a non-pulsating forming shoe (37, 39). The invention also relates to a forming section for forming a three-layer board web, preferably a folding box board (FBB) or a solid bleached (sulfate) board (SBS), which forming section comprises a multilayer headbox (100) and a forming unit (200). The forming unit consist of only one forming unit (200) for water removal and for joining the layers of the three-layer board web and that the one forming unit (200) is a gap or combi type twin-wire former and first water removal means comprises a non-pulsating forming shoe (37, 39).

An apparatus for cleaning a felt in a system for producing a paper web has a device for introducing a cleaning liquid into the felt and at least one following suction device in the direction of movement of the felt and having a vacuum duct, through which the cleaning liquid is suctioned out of the felt. The suction device between the vacuum duct and the felt is formed with suction ducts, through which the cleaning liquid in the felt is suctioned away. At least one of the suction ducts is assigned an inflatable valve element. In the inflated state of the valve element the suction duct is closed and in its ventilated state the suction duct is opened.

An apparatus for cleaning a felt in a system for producing a paper web has a device for introducing a cleaning liquid into the felt and at least one following suction device in the direction of movement of the felt and having a vacuum duct, through which the cleaning liquid is suctioned out of the felt. The suction device between the vacuum duct and the felt is formed with suction ducts, through which the cleaning liquid in the felt is suctioned away. At least one of the suction ducts is assigned an inflatable valve element. In the inflated state of the valve element the suction duct is closed and in its ventilated state the suction duct is opened.

A system is disclosed for removing fluids from a felt in a paper making process. The system includes a vacuum source for providing a vacuum adjacent a vacuum plate against the felt is moved, and crescent shaped openings in the vacuum plate through which the vacuum is applied to the felt for the removal of the fluids.

A lubricating device lubricates a circulating clothing of a machine for manufacturing a fibrous web. The device has a body with a feed chamber that has an inlet for supplying a pressurized liquid lubricant to the feed chamber and an outlet for discharging the lubricant therefrom. The body further has a nozzle chamber to which a nozzle for discharging the lubricant is connected. The nozzle has a flow-conducting connection to the feed chamber via the nozzle chamber and the outlet. Within the body, a diffuser is provided for diffusing the lubricant supplied through the outlet along the body, the diffuser being arranged between the outlet and the nozzle.

A method of operating a machine for producing a fibrous web. The machine has a de-watering device with a plurality of pivotally embodied de-watering strips. In the method, an inclination angle of at least one of the de-watering strips is modified as a function of at least one parameter. The modification is effected by way of the pivoting installation which is activated by a control installation. The actual inclination angle of the at least one de-watering strip to be pivoted is detected and transmitted to the control installation. The control installation activates the pivoting installation as a function of the transmitted inclination angle.

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus and a method comprising a forming section for feeding an aqueous furnish of fibres on a moving surface to form a shape of a product and a pressing and heating section for removing water from the shaped product received from the moving surface. The pressing and heating section comprises a felt and metal belt that are set to run against each other for receiving the furnish from the moving surface and heating elements for heating the web in at least two pulses including at least one first pulse wherein the product is pressed for at least 10-200 ms on a first pressure and at least one second heating and smoothing pulse wherein the product is heated at least for 10-200 ms on a pressure that is higher than the first pressure, and at least one of the surfaces pressing the product being the smooth metal belt.

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus and a method comprising a forming section for feeding an aqueous furnish of fibres on a moving surface to form a shape of a product and a pressing and heating section for removing water from the shaped product received from the moving surface. The pressing and heating section comprises a felt and metal belt that are set to run against each other for receiving the furnish from the moving surface and heating elements for heating the web in at least two pulses including at least one first pulse wherein the product is pressed for at least 10-200 ms on a first pressure and at least one second heating and smoothing pulse wherein the product is heated at least for 10-200 ms on a pressure that is higher than the first pressure, and at least one of the surfaces pressing the product being the smooth metal belt.
