Oral Devices
Oral devices such as a pacifier, bottle cap, teething tools and toys, and methods for using the same are provided. An oral device includes a bulb portion configured to be disposed inside a mouth of a user and a wider neck portion coupled distally to the bulb portion and configured to be held by user's lips. The neck portion is configured such that, when it is sucked on by the user, the neck portion moves in the lateral direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the oral device from a first, unexpanded configuration to a second, expanded configuration such that a lateral contact area of the neck portion with the user's lips increases. The oral device can include one or more expansion accommodation features that facilitate expansion and retraction of the neck portion.
Drink container with torque-limiting lid
A drink container with torque-limiting lid is provided. The drink container includes a lid that can be threadably coupled to a container body having a volume to hold fluids. The lid can include an inner lid assembly concentric with an outer lid assembly. The inner lid assembly can include a multiple ratchet teeth along an outer perimeter and the outer lid assembly can include one or more ratchet pawls along an inner perimeter and configured to engage the ratchet teeth. Rotational force on the outer lid assembly can be transferred to the inner lid assembly from the ratchet pawls to the ratchet teeth to threadably couple the inner lid assembly to the container body. Once a torque limit is reached, the ratchet pawls can slip along the ratchet teeth preventing further tightening of the inner lid assembly to the container body.
Bottle teat and cap for a drinking bottle
A bottle teat consisting of a soft elastic material for a drinking bottle, in particular for infants and small children, having: a teat flange, a hollow teat sleeve that projects upward from the teat flange and is connected at its bottom end to the teat flange, a hollow suction part that is connected at its bottom end to the top end of the hollow teat sleeve and projects upward therefrom, a dome-shaped palate-contacting region on a side of the mouthpiece facing the palate, at least one drinking hole in the palate-contacting region that extends from the outside to the inside of the mouthpiece, wherein: an elevated surface that bulges to the outside is on the outside of the palate-contacting region, and the at least one drinking hole is arranged in the elevated surface so that the suction part with the elevated surface can be pressed in a sealing manner against an inwardly bulging sealing surface on the inside of the cap bottom of a cap to cover the bottle teat.
Teat
A teat including at least a shaft and a nipple, wherein structured surface areas are provided at least in a partial region thereof, and the structured surface areas are formed by at least one rough surface zone having a surface roughness of 100 m at the most, or 50 m at the most.
TEAT
A teat including at least a shaft and a nipple, wherein structured surface areas are provided at least in a partial region thereof, and the structured surface areas are formed by at least one rough surface zone having a surface roughness of 100 m at the most, or 50 m at the most.
DEVICE TO ENABLE INFANTS WITH CLEFT PALATE TO BREAST FEED
A feeding apparatus includes a nipple shield, a deformable nipple defining a chamber, an inlet through which fluid can flow into the chamber, and an outlet through which fluid can exit the nipple, a first portion of the nipple having a first stiffness and a second portion of the nipple having a second stiffness that is lower than the first stiffness, the first portion disposed on a first side of a longitudinal plane bisecting the nipple and the second portion disposed on a second side of the plane, and a check valve disposed in the nipple to divide the chamber into a first portion between the check valve and the outlet, and a second portion between the check valve and the inlet, wherein the check valve is configured to admit fluid into the first portion but prevent fluid from leaving the first portion through the check valve.
Teat for feeding bottle
A feeding teat (40) constructed and arranged to be used on a bottle (52) that holds and dispenses a liquid to be fed to an infant or child. The teat (40) has a nipple portion (70) with an orifice (71) at a terminal end, and defines an interior profile shaped by intersecting reverse curves (75, 76) that generally decrease the interior diameter of the nipple portion (70) toward the orifice (71), so as to channel fluid flow into the orifice (112). There is a flange portion (66) constructed and arranged to be releasably coupled to the bottle (52) such that the liquid can flow from the bottle (52) into the teat (40), and a convexly shaped intermediate portion (80) integrally connecting the nipple portion (70) to the flange portion (66). A pressure relief valve (60) built into the teat (40) is constructed and arranged to admit air into the interior of at least one of the teat (40) and the bottle (52).
Baby bottle assembly
An improved baby bottle assembly that glows in the dark structured and arranged to be located without having to turn on the light, which may make a baby become wide awake. The bottle will also play a soothing melody, to help ease the baby back to sleep.
Teat
A teat with a base and a hollow and flexible mouthpiece protruding from it with a palate contact area, characterized in that the mouthpiece has a planar thinning area fully or partially extending over the palate contact area, in which the mouthpiece has a smaller wall thickness than in its adjacent areas.
