The invention relates to a method of making a paper product 10, 10.01 to 10.14, wherein the method includes the step of adding natural reinforcing material (31, 31.1, 51, 51.1, 61, 61.1, 71, 71.1) to one of: a) a layer of pulp as it exits or after it exits from a layer formation process or apparatus; or b) a tank 20, 20.1, 20.2 of pulp prior to it exiting from a layer formation process or apparatus; or c) a combination of a) and b). Additionally, the invention relates to paper products made by this process. The present invention also provides a multi-layered material 2.10, 2.10″, 2.10.1, 2.100 to 2.1600, and 100 to 1900, and a layer treatment of a layer or layers of a multilayered material, and a multilayered material which has had such a layer or layers treated by such a layer treatment.

Absorbent material

An absorbent material, such as a non-woven web or a tissue paper, includes continuous filaments and short fibers, the short fibers including natural and/or synthetic fibers or staple fibers. The absorbent material exhibits an absorbency speed of equal to or less than 2 s and a weight loss when washed of equal to or less than 5%. The absorbent material can be incorporated into a wipe.

Fibrous Structures and Methods for Making Same

A layered fibrous structure having a first layer including a co-formed fibrous structure containing a plurality of first filaments and a plurality of solid additives and a second layer different from the first layer, wherein the second layer includes a plurality of second filaments is provided.

PAPER COMPRISING MICROFILAMENTS

Paper with a grammage of 10-100 g/m.sup.2 including at least 20 wt. % of microfilaments and at least 20 wt. % of a non-resinous binder, the microfilaments having an average filament length in the range of 2-25 mm and titer less than 1.3 dtex, the non-resinous binder comprising at least one of fibrid or pulp. The paper shows high strength and other attractive properties.
