Method for producing paper, board or the like
The invention relates to a method for producing paper, board or the like. The method comprises obtaining a fibre stock comprising lignocellulosic fibres and adding a retention agent system comprising a cationic synthetic polymer to the fibre stock and forming a fibrous web from the fibre stock and drying the web. Microfibrillated non-wood cellulose is added to the fibre stock as a component of the retention agent system and sequentially with the cationic synthetic polymer.
Plant-Based Fibrous Product For Thermoforming
A fibrous product for use in a variety of applications. The fibrous product particularly well suited for use in thermoforming 3-D articles such as food packaging, automotive parts, and electronic packaging. The fibrous product can be biodegradable, recyclable, and compostable. The fibrous product can contain a first plant fiber that is a non-wood fiber.
HEMICELLULOSE-CONTAINING COATINGS
The present invention describes methods of treating cellulosic materials with a composition comprising hemicellulose and/or lignin and sucrose fatty acid esters to modify barrier functions of such materials. The methods as disclosed use hemicellulose or lignin combined with saccharide fatty acid esters to form films on cellulosic materials, including that the disclosure provides products made by such methods. The materials thus treated exhibit more effective barrier functions, and mechanical properties, and may be used in any application where such features are desired.
Method for producing paper, board or the like
The invention relates to a method for producing paper, board or the like. The method comprises obtaining a thick stock comprising cellulose fibres, forming a fibrous web and drying of drying the fibrous web. A strength agent system, which comprises at least one synthetic or natural polymer, or their mixture, and microfibrillated parenchymal cellulose material originating from non-wood sources, is added to the thick stock. The invention relates also to paper or board produced by the method.

BIODEGRADABLE AND COMPOSTABLE DOG WASTE MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
A biodegradable and compostable sheet of material for picking up and disposing of dog excrement in an environmentally friendly manner. The sheet comprises paper or paperboard that is made grease resistant. The sheets may be stored in individual sheets or on an elongated sheet that may be folded and rolled for use with dispensing units.
In operation, a user grabs or tears off an individual sheet and then places the sheet over the dog excrement so that it is located generally about the sheet's center. The corners or top edges of the sheet may then be grasped and rotated in a direction opposite of the rotation of the central section so that a twist end is formed to retain the dog excrement within a sack. The sack may then be disposed of in a trash can or composter, wherein it will degrade in an environmental safe way.
Methods of making paper and paper with modified cellulose pulps
The present invention relates to an improved process for producing chemical cellulose pulp wherein biopolymers are added immediately before, during or after a bleaching step, depending on pulp characteristics and on process conditions used. The biopolymers according to the present invention are starches chemically modified by an etherification reaction. This treatment results in a differentiated pulp having improved physical, chemical and mechanical properties when compared with cellulose pulps obtained by traditional processes. The use of said biopolymer alters the relations between important pulp properties rendering their application in papermaking process advantageous. This differentiation increases the possibilities of use and also of new applications, including for the substitution of pulps produced from other cellulose sources. Thus, the present invention also relates to methods of making paper, such as printing, writing, decorative, special or tissue-type papers, through the use of the cellulose pulps modified by the above process.
