Coating composition for corrugated paper board
A coating composition for a corrugated paper board is described. The corrugated paper board includes an inner liner sheet and an outer liner sheet adhered to opposite sides of a corrugated medium. The coating composition includes a pre-coat layer and a topcoat layer. The pre-coat layer includes an ink fixer agent and a pigment, and is disposed on one or both of the liner sheets. The topcoat layer is disposed on top of the pre-coat layer to form an ink receiving layer. The topcoat layer includes a wax and is devoid of the ink fixer agent.
SURFACE TREATMENT COMPOSITION
A surface treatment composition for paper, board or other fibrous webs. The composition of the invention comprises particles which comprise an active material and a supporting material. The active material comprises a salt of a multivalent metal, such as a divalent or trivalent metal. In accordance with the invention, the supporting material is adapted to release the active material from the particles when subjected to heat and/or pressure and/or a change in pH. Consequently, the active material's adverse effects on the rheology of the composition are avoided while its desired effects on the surface characteristics are retained or enhanced.
Composition for modifying rheology of coating colour, its use and a coating colour
The invention relates to a composition for modifying rheology of coating colour and its use. The composition comprises an aqueous polymer dispersion, comprising a copolymer of monomer (a), which is at least one optionally substituted styrene, and monomer (b), which is at least one C1-C4-alkyl (meth)acrylate. The copolymer has a particle size D50<100 nm. Composition comprises also degraded starch having an average molecular weight Mn<1000 g/mol.
Process for the deinking of coated paper or paperboard
A process for the deinking of a coated paper or paperboard is disclosed, the process comprises a step of providing a coating layer comprising a calcium- or magnesium-exchanged clay which is deposited on the paper or paperboard before the ink layer. In a further step said calcium- or magnesium-exchanged clay is activated and the paper is subsequently treated with water.

Water-based coatings for cellulosic substrates
The present invention provides water-based coatings that provide liquid resistance when applied to various substrates. In some embodiments, more than one layer of coatings can be applied, using multiple coating stations. The coatings are particularly suitable for cellulosic substrates such as paper or paper board. In addition to liquid resistance, the coatings have good heat sealability, and are resistant to roll blocking. Preferably, the coatings are recyclable and/or repulpable with the substrates to which they are applied. The coating compositions comprise one or more polymer binders, and one or more particles. Preferably, at least one polymer binder has a glass transition temperature (Tg) less than 10 C. Preferably, at least one polymer binder has a heat seal onset temperature of less than 200 C. Preferably, at least one particle has a mean particle size greater than 4 m. It is also preferable that the particles have a melting point greater than 60 C.
A BARRIER SYSTEM
A packaging material is provided including a substrate, and an oxygen transmission inhibiting layer that is carried by the substrate. The oxygen transmission inhibiting layer is formed of a composite material including a linear polysaccharide medium within which one or more additives are dispersed. The composite material is capable of forming a substantially continuous film to provide a barrier to transmission of oxygen gas. The oxygen transmission inhibiting layer is configured within the packaging material at a thickness that is efficacious in inhibiting the transmission of oxygen gas therethrough. A packaging device has two or more component parts, at least one of which is formed of the packaging material. The component parts of the packaging device are shaped and/or configured to be assembled to define an interior region within which goods are to be contained.
