CATHETER FIXTURE
20180236206 · 2018-08-23 ·

The present invention relates to Provided is a catheter fixture. The catheter fixture includes: a base plate having a base hole for passing a catheter; and a fixture body formed on a top of the base plate, and the fixture body having a first guide hole connected to the base hole, extending in an open direction of the base hole, and guiding the catheter and a second guide hole extending in a different direction from the first guide hole and guiding the catheter. Since the first guide hole and the second guide hole are formed in different directions in the catheter fixture, a user can extend the catheter in different directions if necessary. Accordingly, it is possible to more stably and simply prevent backflow of food or medicine, using one catheter fixture without a specific component.

Connectors for infusion pump feeding sets

Improved feeding set connectors and cassettes are disclosed for use with peristaltic infusion pumps for safely delivering enteral nutritional fluids to a patient. The connectors provide an easy to use pump-to-set integration or keying system for specific reusable infusion pumps and their matching feeding sets, and can be utilized by medical professionals having various skill levels. The inventive feeding set cassettes can prevent accidental free flow of enteral fluids into a patient, even upon inadvertent release of the connector from the pumping mechanism.

NIPPLE SHIELD WITH PORT AND FLAP-COVERED CHANNEL TO SUPPLEMENT LACTATION DURING BREASTFEEDING

Nipple shields can be used by breastfeeding mothers to facilitate the feeding process. The disclosed embodiments relate to nipple shields with a port through which liquid supplement can flow from a supply tube into an interior section of the shield. The liquid supplement can be drawn through ports in a tip of the shield in order to augment a naturally expressed flow of milk. A flap of material is bonded to an interior portion of the nipple shield over an optional channel formed in the interior portion so as to form a closed, flap-covered channel leading from an input port on a lower portion of the shield to a an interior location near the tip of the shield.

A medical-tube affixing device includes an adhesive member, a base, and a clipping assembly. The adhesive member is for adhering to a patient at one side and for carrying the base at a reverse side. The base is for the clipping assembly to movably mount thereon. The clipping assembly is operatable to hold and position medical tubes with respect to the patient. With use of the disclosed medical-tube affixing device, medical tubes of different sizes can be easily and firmly attached to/detached from and positioned and/or repositioned, thereby improving working efficiency of healthcare workers.

Systems and Methods for Tubing Delivery

Adapters for a connector assembly for percutaneous tubing are provided. A male adapter (FIG. 22a, 1000) includes a connector fitting (1002) proximate a first end, the connector fitting configured to join to a connector for a tubing system or device, and a male connector (656) proximate a second end. The male connector includes a plug end with a fluid lumen defined therethrough, the plug end having a circumferential groove defined therein to receive a locking extension of a female connector sized to be received within the circumferential groove of the plug end to allow the female connector to rotate relative to and maintain axial engagement with the male connector when the locking extension is received within the groove. An adapter having a female connector (FIG. 24, 1300) is also provided.

Method and systems for providing fluid communication with a gastrostomy tube

A low profile adaptor is disclosed to reduce the length of a gastrostomy tube that has been inserted by means of conventional endoscopic procedures or with a replacement feeding tube inserted into the patient's stomach. The gastrostomy tube is cut to the appropriate length by the physician. The adaptor comprises a stem which is inserted into the open end of the gastrostomy tube. The valve assembly contains a seal that functions as a one-way valve to prevent reflux of gastric contents but permits the introduction of feeding solution into the feeding tube. A lock and key mechanism is incorporated into the hub of the gastrostomy tube to prevent disconnection of the feeding tube. A cover is placed over the opening of the adapter to prevent contamination of the lumen of the gastrostomy tube.
