Pacifier assembly comprising outer container, wristband, and tether
An assembly for a pacifier is provided. The assembly includes a container defining a cavity for housing a bulbous portion of a pacifier, a tether for coupling the container to the pacifier, a spool housed within the container for permitting translation of the pacifier in relation to the container, and a band extending through a slot defined by the container for selectively engaging the assembly to an object or person. Configurations are provided to manage rotation of the spool for ease of use.
Pacifier
A pacifier (1) is provided which comprises a nipple (2) and a shield (3) made of an elastic material. The shield (3) comprises two stable mechanical states: one in which the shield (3) acts as a shield and another in which the shield (3) acts as a nipple cover. The shield (3) is transformable from one stable mechanical state to another upon an impact to the shield (3).
Teether
A teether includes a body, and a teething member. When the teether is frozen, the teething member is positioned within the teether providing rigidity to the teether. The teething member is moveable within the body as the frozen material within the body melts. The teether may include a cylindrical body, a nipple, and a cap with the teething member providing rigidity to the nipple. The teether may also be formed from a flexible membrane with at least one acute edge. An insulative storage container for the teether has an internal structure sized to hold multiple teethers.
