HEATED PATIENT TUBE ASSEMBLY
A heated patient tube assembly that carries and gradually warms fluids to a desired temperature and maintains the desired temperature until the fluids are delivered to a patient includes an elongated hollow tube; a heating assembly at least partially embedded within the tube for heating the tube and fluids carried in the tube; and a control assembly for controlling the heating assembly such that the fluids exit the tube at a desired and consistent temperature.

Kits for preparing and delivering purified corticotropin
A sterile preparation of purified corticotropin and methods relating thereto in which the preparation includes corticotropin extracted from a whole porcine pituitary gland including both anterior and posterior portions, and having proteins or peptides having a molecular weight higher than 4.6 kDa removed. Methods of manufacturing, testing, increasing stability, storage, and use of the purified corticotropin are also provided.
Neonatal fluid tubing heater
A heating system for heating neonate nutritional liquid, including a heater and a control module. The heater includes a heating portion having serpentine shaped grooves for receiving a tube. The tube may be a serpentine feeding tube module, having a serpentine tube portion, or a serpentine feeding tube cassette, having a serpentine tube portion covered by a rigidly attached polymeric sheet. The serpentine feeding tube cassette may include a thermocouple to measure the temperature of the warmed nutritional liquid as it exits the cassette.
Systems and methods for controlling delivery of breast milk supplementation
Systems and methods for controlling delivery of breast milk supplementation are described which include receiving information associated with a breast milk supplement regimen with a breast milk supplement delivery device, the breast milk supplement delivery device including a substrate sized for placement on a surface of a breast region of a lactating female, at least one supplement reservoir associated with the substrate and adapted to contain one or more breast milk supplements, the at least one supplement reservoir including a port with a controllable valve, a data storage component configured to store the breast milk supplement regimen, and a control unit operably coupled to the data storage component and the controllable valve and including a microprocessor and circuitry; and actuating the controllable valve of the at least one supplement reservoir to modulate release of the one or more breast milk supplements based on the received breast milk supplement regimen.
Carpule warmer and dispenser
An apparatus for storing, warming and manually individually dispensing elongated cylindrical vials having different contents, while minimizing error and clutter, is described. Vials are stored in bins, which have manually operated dispensing members. Each bin may be separately heated using small incandescent bulbs or other heating elements. Adjustable temperature sensors may be placed in each bin to permit separate temperature control, and provide a high-temperature cutoff. One embodiment of the apparatus may be wall mounted to relieve congestion on horizontal surfaces. Another embodiment is suitable for table use, and has a reduced profile for clutter reduction.
Secure Controlled Substance Pill Dispensing Device
A pill dispensing device includes a lid with an RFID reader and a container that engages that lid. The container includes a hopper that is configured to hold a plurality of pills and a tray that is connect that hopper. The container can dispense a pill from the hopper into the tray when an authorized RFID rob is read by the RFID reader. The pill dispensing device may include a code entry mechanism on the side of the container. The code entry mechanism activates or deactivates a lock. The lock is capable of securing the lid to the container. The pills are dispensed through the pill dispensing device when certain parameters are met. If the device it tampered with, the pills may be rendered unusable by a tamper resistance mechanism.
Baby Bottle with Interior Container for Feeding Liquid and Outer Container for Heating Liquid
A baby bottle features an interior container for containing a feeding liquid that has an open top, a nipple closing the interior container at its top so that the feeding liquid is contained in the interior container but withdrawable therefrom through the nipple, and an outer container that collectively defines an interior volume in which the interior container is received. The outer container is arranged for containing a heating liquid which is placed in communication with an outer surface of the interior container to heat the feeding liquid by transfer of heat thereto from the heating liquid. The outer container includes a removable cap at its bottom such that the heating liquid may be introduced into the outer container through the bottom to a space delimited by the outer container about the interior container when the cap is removed.
HEATED OR COOLED PORTABLE DRINKWARE
An actively heated or cooled portable container has a body with a chamber that receives and holds a liquid, and one or more heating or cooling elements in thermal communication with at least a portion of the chamber. An outer surface of the body has one or more electrical contacts. A module is removably coupled to a portion of the body. The module has one or more electrical contacts on an outer surface of the module that contact the one or more electrical contacts on the outer surface of the body, control circuitry, and one or more power storage elements that provide power to the control circuitry and/or the one or more heating or cooling elements. The control circuitry wirelessly communicates with a mobile electronic device to wirelessly transmit information to the mobile electronic device associated with the operation of the module and/or wirelessly receive instructions from a user via the mobile electronic device.
Medical Fluid Transfer and Injection Apparatus and Method
Drug delivery system, injection device, transfer apparatus, vial holder and method of administering and transferring are disclosed which provide for passive warming of chilled injectable transferred through the transfer apparatus and into the injection device. The injection device may include a skin-facing surface including a skin boundary displacement extension or structure around a needle injection site to create a high pressure zone in the tissue. Radio frequency tracking and monitoring features for tracking patient compliance also may be provided.
