MEDICATION DELIVERY APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
A medication delivery apparatus, including: a housing configured to accommodate a strip of medication packages in its interior and having an outlet for outputting medication packages from the interior of the housing; a lid of the housing configured to enable access to the interior of the housing; and an electronically controllable lock mechanism positioned in the interior of the housing and configured to lock the lid in a closed position. The apparatus is configured such that the lock mechanism is configured to be controlled from the exterior of the housing by a control device.
INTELLIGENT CONTAINER SYSTEM
Described herein is a polymorphic display, which is a unitary apparatus constructed such that a wide variety of electro-optic functions are enabled. The polymorphic display is used in an intelligent container system for monitoring and evaluating actions taken at the container system. In this way, relationships between displayed information and actions may be determined. The polymorphic display, even when having multiple pixels, enables sharing of selected structures among the pixels. In a multi-pixel construction, there is a set of pixels in the display that exhibit one set of operable properties, such as particular stability, sequencing, and switching properties, and another set of pixels that are different from the first set. That is, they have different stability, sequencing, or switching properties. In such a way, a highly flexible polymorphic display may be construed to satisfy a wide range of display needs, including novel applications on intelligent container systems.
System and method for distributed medication management
A method including authorizing a user to access a dispensing unit upon receipt of a medication request, is provided. The dispensing unit comprises a storage location with one or more door enclosure storing at least one container. The method also includes providing a visual indicator to the user for a selected container in the storage location with one or more door enclosure, the selected container comprising a medication associated with the medication request, and unlocking the selected container for the user by wirelessly actuating a latch for a lid in the selected container from a mat that is communicatively coupled with the dispensing unit. The method also includes locking the selected container when the user verifies a transaction comprising the medication request, and updating a record and a medication inventory in a remote server based on the transaction. A storage location with one or more door enclosure and a container used in the above method are also provided.
REFRIGERATION DEVICE
Disclosed is a refrigerating device that includes: a refrigeration mechanism; and a cooling chamber. The cooling chamber is operatively coupled to the refrigeration mechanism using any or a combination of a latching mechanism and a screwing mechanism, and is configured to hold a load to be cooled. The refrigeration mechanism can be a thermo-electric assembly (TEA) and the device can include a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller to set and regulate temperature inside the cooling chamber. The cooling chamber can be a vacuum flask, open end of the vacuum flask configured to be thermally sealed with the TEA. The vacuum flask provides thermal insulation between the load and ambient environment. In an exemplary embodiment, the vacuum flask can be thermally sealed with the TEA by configuring the TEA in a collar of thermal insulation, the collar configured to hold the vacuum flask by means of threads configured on the collar and the vacuum flask.
SMART CAP
A smart medication container cap for medication management and related devices, systems and methods for medication management are provided. The smart cap ensures ensuring accuracy in dispensing, prompts the user promoting compliance, collects information about the medication, transmits the information to a central server or LAN, determining container contents, locations, and surroundings, remotely manages the same, transmits alerts to the user, and communicates with a computer system for the same.
Apparatus and methods for storing and dispensing medications
An apparatus for automated storage and dispensing of medications. Medications are stored in one or more inventory storage foam storage plates attached to a frame of the apparatus. Medications are delivered to the apparatus via a locked delivery container. A carrier mechanism retrieves medications from the inventory storage container and delivery container and moves medications to various subsystems of the apparatus. Information related to medications is communicated to a remote pharmacist prior to dispensing the medication. Multiple installations of the apparatus are centrally coordinated.
Carrier for carrying a container of medically useful solution or suspension
A supple carrier for carrying a container of medically useful solution or suspension. The supple carrier includes a first monitoring window providing a first visualization perspective of the container contained by the envelope and one or more adjustable pressurizers. The supple carrier can delay the temperature change of the medically useful solution or suspension carried by the carrier.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING ROSIN AND OTHER VISCOUS MATERIALS
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for pen that distributes viscous plant material, such as rosin, from a cartridge. The pen receives, from a button, input corresponding to a first control instruction. The pen has a motor configured to receive the first control instruction from the controller and, in response, drive a spindle that linearly displaces a plunger, wherein the linear displacement of the plunger causes plant material to be pushed out of a nozzle of the pen. The pen cartridge includes a rubber plug configured to be linearly displaced by the plunger to cause rosin to be disturbed from the cartridge.
Gamification Systems and Methods for Improved Healthcare Outcomes
A gamified pharmaceutical packaging, dispensing system, and methodology is disclosed. The innovative gamified smart packaging system and methodology provides a variety of incentives to patients and relevant teams to take their medications, on time, and at the correct dosage. The system comprises monitored pharmaceutical dispensing devices that communicate with a plurality of compute devices, or smartphones. Each time the patient dispenses the medicine from the dispensing device, a signal is transmitted to the compute device. Upon receiving the signal, the compute device records the dispensing event, calculates a specific “score” for that event, and reports the patient's cumulative “score” of successfully dispensing the medicine. If a dispensing event signal is not received in a timely fashion, the system sends a prompt to the patient to take their medication. Accumulating points by properly taking the prescribed medication allows the patient and/or team to be eligible to receive various benefits.
CONNECTED MEDICATION DISPENSER
Apparatus and associated software and methods for improving medication adherence. A connected medication dispenser includes a robotic arm adapted to deliver a prescribed medication dose to a patient in their home, and software and sensors that analyze the patient's compliance, communicate with external health sensors to monitor the patient's response to the dose, and communicate with external servers to send the result of providing the medication dose to the patient. In an illustrative example, the patient may be a chronic, acute, or terminal illness patient, and the results may be communicated with physicians, payers, caregivers, a pharmacy, and/or the patient's electronic health record. The flow of information may allow the physician or caregiver to offer real-time adjustments to the medication type, dose, and schedule to provide improved therapeutic outcomes.
