A pump component within the cartridge is actuable to move fluid through the controllable fluid pathways. A medication dispensing system is provided and includes a medicine transfer device (MTD) and a controller. The MTD transfers medicine between first and second containers. The first container initially stores medicine. The controller: determines a first predetermined amount of medicine to be dispensed from the medicine dispensing system; causes the MTD to discharge a second predetermined amount of the medicine from the first container onto the MTD, and transfer a third predetermined amount of the medicine from the MTD to the second container; subsequent to the transfer of the third predetermined amount, determine whether the second container has greater than or equal to the first predetermined amount; and if the second container has less than the first predetermined amount, cause the MTD to transfer a portion of the medicine on the MTD into the second container or discharge a portion of the medicine in the first container onto the MTD.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A MIXING APPARATUS OF A MANUFACTURING PLANT
A method for operating a mixing apparatus of a manufacturing plant comprises supplying multiple powdered products to the mixing apparatus. An inlet mass flow rate of the multiple powdered products into the mixing apparatus and a weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus are measured. The multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus are mixed to form a mixed product. The weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus and an outlet mass flow rate of the mixed product from the mixing apparatus are predicted based on the measured inlet mass flow of the multiple powdered products. The predicted outlet mass flow rate of the mixed product from the mixing apparatus is corrected based on the measured weight of the multiple powdered products in the mixing apparatus. CONTROLLED COMPLIANCE MEDICATION DISPENSER SYSTEM
A system for permitting administration of an as-needed medication dose to a patient is disclosed herein. The system comprises a medication management server, a computing device associated with a healthcare provider and a dispenser associated with a patient. The dispenser in communication with the server is configured to dispense controlled medication at a minimum dosing interval. The dispenser comprises a controller in communication with the server configured to control the actuation of one or more events of the dispenser including a medication dispensation event. The computing device in communication with the server is configured to manage a quantity of the medication dose dispensed and the predefined dosing interval, remotely. The server is further configured to send an alert on tampering the dispenser or on detecting an out-of-communication state of dispenser for a predetermined time interval.
MEDICATION COMPLIANCE DEVICE
The invention relates to a portable drug dispenser system that includes a chamber for holding a plurality of separately contained medication canisters, a dispensing mechanism for dispensing one or more of the plurality of medication products from the medication canisters, and includes a processor to determine the time of each activation of the dispensing mechanism and to transmit the medication to a locked dispensing station which is only openable by either a password or biornetric means. The dispenser also includes a connection to a smart device to provide the user information and alarms.

A personal thermoelectric-cooling and heating case includes a first rigid chamber and a temperature regulated second rigid chamber. The first rigid chamber accommodates electronic circuitry. The first rigid chamber also extends lengthwise along a longitudinal axis and includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and a thermoelectric-cooling device. The temperature regulated second rigid chamber includes a bay structure configured to accommodate an item that is subject to temperature regulation. The invention relates to an installation for producing a medical preparation, in particular for producing a preparation for parenteral nutrition. The installation comprises a pump with which liquids can be transferred from a plurality of source containers into a target container. The installation has a modular construction and comprises a weighing module and a main module with the pump. According to a further aspect of the invention, the pump is arranged at an inclination with respect to a vertical plane. According to a further aspect of the invention, the installation comprises cascaded valve nodes.

A system for dispensing pills may include a plurality of containers, a retrieval arm movable into the plurality of containers to retrieve contents from the plurality of containers, a carrier supporting the plurality of containers, the carrier movable to adjust positions of the plurality of containers relative to a predetermined position, and a weighing assembly. The weighing assembly may include an actuator and a weight sensor. The actuator may be actuatable to control mechanical communication between the weight sensor and one of the plurality of containers at the predetermined position, and the weight sensor may be operable to measure weight of the one of the plurality of containers in mechanical communication with the weight sensor at the predetermined position.
