FABRIC STRUCTURE FOR A TIRE
20220161601 · 2022-05-26 ·

A tire includes a carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass ply, a belt structure having an overall axial width substantially equal to a tread width interposed between the tread and the crown region in circumferential surrounding relation to the carcass ply, and a fabric layer including a plurality of warp cords and a plurality of weft cords extending transversely over and under each of the warp cords, each warp cord being a monofilament, each weft cord being a flat textured multifilament.

SEDIMENT-CONTROL FENCES WITH ANISOTROPIC STRENGTH AND STIFFNESS PROPERTIES

Sediment-control fences designed to withstand hydrostatic forces associated with elevated backwater against the fence are disclosed. The fences are made of anisotropic fabric having different mechanical properties such as strength and stiffness in the machine direction versus the transverse direction. The anisotropic fabric may include fibrillated yarns in one direction and monofilaments in another direction. The sediment-control fences may be used without the necessity of wire or chain-link backed supports that are conventionally used to resist structural failure due to hydraulic overtopping of the fences.

Energy saving greenhouse screen

A greenhouse screen strips of film material that are interconnected by a yarn system of transverse threads and longitudinal threads by means of knitting, warp-knitting or weaving process to form a continuous product, wherein at least some of the strips comprise a film material in the form of a single- or multilayer polyester film is disclosed. The film material has a transparency of at least 93.5% and is provided with at least a first anti-reflective coating or layer on a first side of the film material.

A woven panel is provided that utilizes “grip” yarns in the weft direction in a first area to increase the coefficient of friction of the woven panel. The grip yarns are interlaced with a plurality of non-grip yarns to form a repeating pattern of floats on the woven panel, that when sewn into a garment, provide additional traction and friction for securing the garment to a wearer's body.

WOVEN TEXTILE AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
20210363671 · 2021-11-25 ·

There is provided a method of manufacturing a woven textile, in which a plurality of warp yarns is interlaced with a plurality of weft yarns. A selvedge is formed by interlacing a first subset of the warp yarns with a first subset of the weft yarns and interlacing a second subset of the warp yarns with a second subset of the weft yarns. The first subset of the warp yarns is not interlaced with the second subset of the weft yarns and the second subset of the warp yarns is not interlaced with the first subset of the weft yarns. The method may be used to manufacture a multilayer textile.

Multiple chamber folded innerduct structure

A flexible innerduct structure having a first margin region, a second margin region, and a middle region, where the middle region is located between the first and second margin regions. The innerduct structure contains at least two flexible, longitudinal chambers, with each chamber being designed for enveloping at least one cable. The flexible innerduct structure contains at least one strip-shaped textile, each strip containing a first side and a second edge and extending in the longitudinal direction. All first and second edges of the strips are located in the middle region and each strip-shaped textile extends outwards from the middle region, folds about a fold axis located in either the first or second margin region and returns to the middle region. At least one strip extends from the first to the second margin region and the strips are attached together in the middle region.
