The invention relates to a dental retraction composition comprising guanidinyl-containing polymer, carrageenan, filler, paste-forming component, organic acid having a molecular weight of 80 to 250 g/mol, a pks value of 2 to 5, 1 to 3 carboxylic acid moieties, and being soluble in polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 400 g/mol, the dental retraction composition not containing water in an amount of more than 5 wt. %, and not containing aluminium chloride in an amount of more than 0.5 wt. %, wt. % with respect to the weight of the dental retraction composition. The dental retraction composition is for use in a process for use in a process of retracting dental tissue in combination with coagulating blood. The invention also relates to a delivery device comprising the dental retraction composition and a kit of parts comprising the delivery device, an applier for the delivery device, optionally a dental impression material, and optionally a retraction cap.

The invention relates to a curable composition comprising a resin matrix, the resin matrix comprising cationically curable components (A) and radiation curable components (B), a curing system, the curing system comprising a starter (A-S) suitable for curing the cationically curable components (A) and a photo-initiator (B-I), the curable composition being provided as a Base Part and Catalyst Part being separated before use, wherein the Base Part comprises components (A) and (B) and wherein the Catalyst Part comprises components (A-S) and (B-I). The invention relates to a medical composition comprising guanidinyl-containing polymer(s) and polyanionic polymer(s). The medical composition is useful for absorbing water-containing fluids and can be used as dental retraction composition or as part of a medical treatment device.

The invention relates to a dental composition for use as a dental retraction material comprising filler(s), paste forming liquid(s) and guanidinyl-containing polymer(s). The dental composition is typically stored in a capsule with a thin nozzle enabling the delivery of the material in the sulcus of a tooth.

The invention relates to a method for the preparation of a lithium silicate glass or a lithium silicate glass ceramic which comprise cerium ions and are suitable in particular for the preparation of dental restorations, the fluorescence properties of which largely correspond to those of natural teeth.

The invention also relates to a lithium silicate glass and a lithium silicate glass ceramic which can be obtained using the method according to the invention, the use thereof as dental material and in particular for the preparation of dental restorations, as well as a glass-forming composition which is suitable for use in the method according to the invention.
