Article of footwear having an upper that includes a knitted component with a cushioning region and methods for fabricating the same
Articles for footwear, uppers for articles of footwear, and methods for fabricating articles of footwear are provided. In one example, an upper for an article of footwear includes a knitted component. The knitted component includes a plurality of knitted cushioning structures that define a cushioning region.
FLAME RESISTANT FABRIC
A flame resistant fabric is disclosed herein. The fabric comprising blended yarns consists of: 40%-60% inherently flame resistant fibers, 20%-60% non-flame resistant cellulose fibers, and 5%-30% flame resistant aramid structural fibers. The fabric is evaluated by at least the following test methods: ASTM D6413; ASTM F1959; ASTM D3786; AATCC 61 Method A; AATCC 135; ASTM F2700; ASTM 1930; and ASTM 2894. The fabric also meets the ASTM 1506-19a and NFPA 2112-2018 test standard.
Illuminated garment
An illuminated garment includes a base layer having knitted looped threads that hold in position a plurality of optical fibers. The optical fibers are laid into the base layer during the same knitting cycle as the base layer and are configured to emit light through the respective sides of the optical fibers and along the length of each optical fiber in response to receiving light from a light source through at least one end of the respective optical fibers.
UPPER AND LOWER TORSO GARMENTS HAVING AN IMPROVED BAND
A torso garment, such as a brassiere or brief, includes a body formed of inner and outer layers, the body including at least one torso band extending from a portion of the body, where the inner and outer layers overlap along a fold line of the torso garment. The torso garment includes an elastomeric band positioned between the inner and outer layers proximate the fold line.
COMPRESSION HOSIERY
A compression hosiery garment includes a knit fabric including a first yarn and a second yarn knit in an alternating knit construction and having at least one course of the second yarn for each course of the first yarn. The first yarn includes a covered yarn with an elastic core, such as a soft modulus elastic core, and the second yarn includes an inelastic yarn. The alternating knit construction includes an inverse course shift, where the first yarn is knit with a first course height that is greater than a second course height of the second yarn.
Garment with Uni-Directional Reduced-Stretch Properties, and Method and System of Producing Such Garment
A garment includes: a first garment-region, that is formed of a knitted material, and that is knitted in accordance with a first knitting pattern, wherein the first garment region has a first value of horizontal stretching capacity; and a second garment-region, that is formed of the same knitted material, and that is knitted in accordance with a second, different, knitting pattern; wherein the second garment region has a second value of unidirectional stretching capacity that is smaller than the first value of unidirectional stretching capacity of the first garment-region. The second garment-region is immediately adjacent to and is bordering with the first garment-region, and together they are a continuous and seamless garment zone.
Gussetless dance tight
A gussetless dance tight is disclosed. The gussetless dance tight comprises a legwear portion created from a single tube without any vertical seams. The legwear portion comprises an upper portion, two leg portions, and a transition between the two leg portions where the two leg portions meet. The legwear portion comprises a higher density area at the transition. The higher density area transitions to the upper portion using circular knitting without a gather stitch. The gussetless dance tight also comprises a waistband coupled to the upper portion.
CUSTOMIZED KNITTED WEARABLE WITH REACTIVE MATERIAL FOR RIGIDITY
One embodiment relates to an orthopedic precast comprises a knitted shell portion and a knitted flexible portion. Heat or other hardening agent is used to harden the shell portion, while retaining flexibility in the flexible portion. Contemplated hardening agents include light, heat, and chemical polymerizing agents. In some embodiments the shell portion includes thermoplastic threads or yarns, which is then hardened by heating the thermoplastic sufficiently to at least partially melt, and thereby fuse together some of the threads or yarns, and then cooling to ambient temperature for enhanced rigidity. In other embodiments, the precast is contained in a bag or other airtight container, along with a self-heating composition that is triggered to release heat upon contact with oxygen. In still other embodiments, the precast includes a prepolymer of other polymerizable composition, which is polymerized by effective application of light, heat, and/or chemical agent(s) or deployed as a wearable.
Engineered knit with multi-density knit zone
A knitted element may include at least three zones. The first zone may include terry loop knitting. The second zone may include mesh knitting. The third zone may include jersey knitting. The knitted element may include at least one seamless transition between the first zone and the second zone, or between the first zone and the third zone so that terry loop knitting is continuous with either the mesh knitting or the jersey knitting. The first zone, the second zone, and the third zone may each include wool knitting. The terry loop knitting may be adapted to provide warmth in areas where it is needed, while the mesh knitting may be adapted to provide breathability in areas where it is needed. The jersey knitting may provide an intermediate level of warmth and breathability.
Clothing articles having encapsulation zones, and system and method of producing such clothing articles
Clothing articles having one or more pre-defined encapsulation zones, as well as systems and methods of producing such clothing articles. A clothing article is made of a fabric intended to cover a region of a human body of a wearer. The fabric includes at least one encapsulation zone which is surrounded by a surrounding region. The encapsulation zone includes at least a first encapsulation region, which is surrounded by a second encapsulation region, which is surrounded by a third encapsulation region. The first encapsulation region has a first level of elasticity; the second encapsulation region has a second level of elasticity that is smaller than the first level of elasticity of the first encapsulation region; the third encapsulation region has a third level of elasticity that is smaller than the second level of elasticity of the second encapsulation region.
