Lacrosse head pocket and related method of manufacture

A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The pocket can include a perimeter flange constructed from special materials and/or a perimeter flange including intermittent voids along an outer edge so that the perimeter flange stretches when the pocket is in a loaded state with the lacrosse ball therein, thereby providing dampening to the pocket when a lacrosse ball exerts force upon the pocket in the loaded state.

Yarn carrier device with yarn tension control function for flat knitting machine, and yarn tension control method

This application relates to a yarn carrier device with a yarn tension control function for a flat knitting machine, and a yarn tension control method. At the moment a carriage is connected to a yarn carrier device, a fixing frame carrying a bobbin ascends or descends on sliding rails installed on the yarn carrier device. The ascending or descending speed, time and distance of the fixing frame can be calculated directly according to a yarn carrier stop, the quantity of an unknitted portion of the yarn and the speed of the carriage. When the carriage contacts a yarn carrier, the fixing frame is controlled to ascend along the sliding rails. When the carriage drives the yarn carrier to enter a knitting area, the fixing frame is controlled to descend.

Circular knitting machine for manufacturing open-work knitted fabric
12012677 · 2024-06-18 · ·

A circular knitting machine for manufacturing open-work knitted fabric includes a crown arranged around a needle-holding cylinder and having a plurality of radial grooves and a guiding ring operatively associated to the crown. Each of a plurality of knockover sinkers is housed in one of the radial grooves, is radially movable in the respective radial groove and has a pin configured for cooperating with the needles. At least one shaped sinker is placed beside each of the knockover sinkers and is movable with respect to the respective knockover sinker. The shaped sinker has a protrusion offset laterally with respect to the respective knockover sinker and configured for elongating an interstitch, arranging it on an adjacent needle and forming an open work. A selector is operatively coupled with the shaped sinker and is oscillating in a radial plane between a rest position and an operating position, wherein in the operating position the selector acts indirectly upon the shaped sinker so as to deviate the trajectory of the shaped sinker. A selecting actuator faces laterally the crown and can be engaged upon command with the selectors for causing the selectors to switch from the rest position to the operating position.
