EVAPORATION STRATEGY GENERATED ANTIBACTERIAL ENAMEL-LIKE FLUORAPATITE-POLYACRYLIC ACID SHEET FOR FUNCTIONAL DENTAL RESTORATION
The subject invention pertains to an evaporation strategy combined with low-molecular-weight polyacrylic acid (LPAA) to generate an antibacterial dental enamel-like structure. Polystyrene (PS) plates can be used as a removable substrate for the continuous growth of fluorapatite (FAP). The FAP-LPAA composition can be used to kill microorganisms. The LPAA contained dental enamel-like FAP provides an alternative to prevent secondary caries if a carious cavity is filled with shaped dental enamel-like FAP-LPAA.

TWO-PART DENTAL SEALANT, METHOD OF APPLYING WITH A SYRINGE DEVICE, AND KIT
A method of applying a two-part dental sealant is described comprising providing a syringe device (1) comprising a cartridge (10) including first and second chamber. The first chamber contains a first part of a dental sealant comprising a (meth)acrylate resin and an oxidizing curing agent. The second chamber contains a second part of a dental sealant comprising a (meth)acrylate resin and a reducing curing agent that reacts with the oxidizing curing agent of the first chamber. The first and/or second part of the dental sealant further comprise a single component or multiple components that neutralize acid and promote remineralization. The syringe device comprises a dispensing nozzle (17) comprising a static mixer and an outlet at one end of the cartridge and a plunger (20) at the opposing end of the cartridge. Also described is a kit for storing and applying the dental sealant is described.
ANTIMICROBIAL DENTURE
A denture containing a henna powder or a henna extract, each of which comes from pulverized henna leaves and may include any of lawsone, tannic acid, and 2-methoxy-1,4-napthoquinone and a denture fabrication material. A denture containing at least one first antimicrobial ingredient selected from the group consisting of henna powder or a henna extract, lawsone, tannic acid, and 2-methoxy-1,4-napthoquinone, and a second antimicrobial ingredient, and optionally, a biocompatible gel and an odor neutralizer.
HYDROPHOBIC DENTAL SURFACES
An example article may include a dental surface, a hydrophobic coating on the dental surface, and a restorative layer on the hydrophobic coating. An example technique may include applying, on a dental surface, a hydrophobic coating comprising an amphiphilic agent. The hydrophobic coating may provide a water contact angle of greater than or equal to about 50° on the dental surface. The example technique may include applying a restorative layer to the hydrophobic coating. An example kit may include a dental restorative composition and a hydrophobic coating composition. The hydrophobic coating composition may include an amphiphilic agent. The hydrophobic coating composition may be configured to provide a water contact angle of greater than or equal to about 50° on a dental surface.
INTRANASAL DENTAL ANESTHETIC
The present invention relates to intranasally administered pharmaceutical compositions administered for use in anesthesia. Such pharmaceutical compositions comprise benzyl alcohol. The invention also relates to methods for anesthetizing the maxillary dental arch using these pharmaceutical compositions.
