NONWOVEN DOWN BATTING
The invention provides batting that includes a nonwoven web having a first surface parallel to a second surface. The nonwoven web is made up of a fiber mixture that includes: 25 to 75 wt % spiral-crimped siliconized synthetic polymeric fibers having a denier of greater than 4 denier and less than 10 denier; and 20 to 75 wt % down treated with a durable water repellant, said down having a fill power of at least 550 in.sup.3/oz, and having a down cluster content of at least 85 wt %. Articles comprising the batting and methods of making the batting are also provided.
Long fiber nonwoven fabric and laminate of fabrics having long fiber nonwoven fabric
The invention aims at providing a light long fiber nonwoven fabric having a sufficient strength, on which irregularly uneven wrinkles (or crimps) having a large difference in height (bulkiness). It also aims at providing a laminate of fabrics including the long fiber nonwoven fabric. The long fiber nonwoven fabric is a long fiber nonwoven fabric formed from a long fiber, on which irregularly uneven wrinkles having a large difference in height are formed. The laminate of fabrics includes the long fiber nonwoven fabric (the inner layer) and a first fabric (a first outer layer) laminated on one side of the long fiber nonwoven fabric, wherein a first space is formed between the long fiber nonwoven fabric (the inner layer) and the first fabric (first outer layer).

Nonwoven fabric and method for manufacturing same
An extensible nonwoven fabric, and method for its manufacture, on which the source, medicinal component, pattern and/or other pieces of information are recognizable at the beginning of and during fabric use. It is made mainly of highly crimped fibers, with a compressed region where no fibers are melted and bonded together, with a tensile strength of 25 N/5-cm-width or more in both the machine direction and the cross direction. It may be manufactured by causing a water jet having a pressure of 5 MPa or more to act onto a web made mainly of a latent crimpable fiber, forming an entangled fiber web, causing heat to act on it, crimping the fiber converting it to a highly crimped fiber while contracting the web's area by 30% or more forming a contracted fiber web, and embossing it such that the fibers are not melted and bonded together.

Nonwoven fabrics comprised of individualized bast fibers
Nonwoven textile fabrics in accordance with the present invention are formed primarily of individualized bast fibers substantially free of pectin. The nonwoven fabric can include staple fibers to a lesser extent than the individualized bast fibers. Individualized bast fibers include fibers derived from the flax and hemp plants. The nonwoven textile fabric is formed into a web while in a dry state and subsequently bonded to produce a nonwoven fabric.
