FILTRATION MEDIA MADE FROM MELT-BLOWN FIBERS WITH IMPROVED FILTRATION PROPERTIES
The present invention relates to filtration media made from melt-blown fibers having improved barrier properties. The melt-blown fibers in the filtration media of the invention are made of a visbroken metallocene-catalyzed propylene homopolymer composition with specified melting temperature Tm and molecular weight distribution (MWD).
NOZZLE FOR MAKING MELTBLOWN FILAMENTS
A nozzle has a body having a face extending in a longitudinal direction and transversely thereto in a transverse direction. The nozzle plate is provided with an array of melt openings and compressed-air openings on the face in a plurality of longitudinally extending rows and a plurality of transversely extending rows. A polymer melt to the nozzle openings to extrude the polymer melt downstream from the melt openings as polymer filaments and compressed air to the compressed-air openings to form air jets issuing downstream from the compressed-air openings between the polymer filaments. Only the polymer melt and no air is supplied to the melt openings such that only the polymer melt issues from the melt openings. Only compressed air and no polymer melt is supplied to the compressed-air openings such that only the compressed air issues from the compressed-air openings.

In the spunbonded non-woven fabric, the fiber includes a sea-island structure, and the percentage of an island phase having a diameter of from 0.12 μm to less than 0.63 μm with respect to an island phase in a cross section orthogonal to the axis direction of the fiber on a number basis is 30% or more. (I) represents a random copolymer of propylene and at least one selected from ethylene or an α-olefin having a carbon number of from 4 to 20. (II) represents a propylene homopolymer with a melting point of less than 120° C.

ANTI-PROPYLENE MASK AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF
An anti-propylene mask and method for preparation thereof is provided; the anti-propylene mask includes a fiber cloth contact layer, an antistatic non-woven fabric layer and a fullerene/nano titanium dioxide spunbond layer which are arranged in sequence; the fullerene/nano titanium dioxide spunbond layer is made by spun-bonding the modified resin material into a fiber web; the raw materials of modified resin materials include matrix resin, carboxylated fullerene derivatives, nano titanium dioxide, a lubricant, and a coupling agent; the modified resin material is prepared by following method: the carboxylated fullerene derivative is mixed and reacted with the nano titanium dioxide to prepare the carboxylated fullerene derivative-modified nano titanium dioxide, which is then blended and extruded with the remaining components in the raw material, and thus prepared. The mask can prevent propylene from entering the human body through the human respiratory organs and has a good anti-propylene effect.
