The instructions, when executed, cause a processor of an embroidery pattern displaying device provided with a capturing portion and a displaying portion to perform steps. The steps include detecting a marker associated with an embroidery pattern arranged within an augmented reality space from a real image that is an image of a real space captured by the capturing portion. The steps include displaying, when the marker is detected from the real image, a pattern image indicating the embroidery pattern associated with the detected marker, superimposed on the real image with the detected marker as a reference, on the displaying portion.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer, causing the computer to execute a process. The process and a method of generating embroidery data each includes: obtaining a pattern to be sewn on a workpiece by a sewing machine; obtaining a size of a sewing area to be set inside an embroidery hoop attachable to the sewing machine; setting a virtual arrangement of a plurality of the sewing areas relative to the workpiece; setting a virtual arrangement of the pattern relative to the workpiece; changing a relative position of the sewing areas; and generating embroidery data including needle drop data, the needle drop data representing a plurality of coordinates of needle drop points to form a plurality of stitches for the pattern located in each of the sewing areas in the relative position changed.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer, causing the computer to execute a process. The process and a method of generating embroidery data each includes: obtaining a pattern to be sewn on a workpiece by a sewing machine; obtaining a size of a sewing area to be set inside an embroidery hoop attachable to the sewing machine; setting a virtual arrangement of a plurality of the sewing areas relative to the workpiece; setting a virtual arrangement of the pattern relative to the workpiece; changing a relative position of the sewing areas; and generating embroidery data including needle drop data, the needle drop data representing a plurality of coordinates of needle drop points to form a plurality of stitches for the pattern located in each of the sewing areas in the relative position changed.

A sewing machine determines a pattern from multiple patterns, as a first pattern. The sewing machine generates a projection image including a first image representing a sewing image of the first pattern in a sewing expected size thereof. The sewing machine projects the generated projection image onto a projection area. The sewing machine sews the first pattern on a workpiece in the sewing expected size based on pattern data for the first pattern.

A sewing machine determines a pattern from multiple patterns, as a first pattern. The sewing machine generates a projection image including a first image representing a sewing image of the first pattern in a sewing expected size thereof. The sewing machine projects the generated projection image onto a projection area. The sewing machine sews the first pattern on a workpiece in the sewing expected size based on pattern data for the first pattern.

A software activation system includes a sewing machine and at least one server connected via a network. The sewing machine acquires an authentication code corresponding to an activation target software that is at least one of a program and data not activated on the sewing machine, and transmits, to an authentication server included in the at least one server, an authentication request including the acquired authentication code. The server acquires an authentication key on the basis of the authentication request, when the authentication request is received by the first receiver; and transmits the acquired authentication key to the sewing machine. The sewing machine also receives the authentication key from the authentication server, determines whether the received authentication key satisfies a predetermined authentication condition, and activates the activation target software on the sewing machine when it is determined that the authentication key satisfies the predetermined condition.

A software activation system includes a sewing machine and at least one server connected via a network. The sewing machine acquires an authentication code corresponding to an activation target software that is at least one of a program and data not activated on the sewing machine, and transmits, to an authentication server included in the at least one server, an authentication request including the acquired authentication code. The server acquires an authentication key on the basis of the authentication request, when the authentication request is received by the first receiver; and transmits the acquired authentication key to the sewing machine. The sewing machine also receives the authentication key from the authentication server, determines whether the received authentication key satisfies a predetermined authentication condition, and activates the activation target software on the sewing machine when it is determined that the authentication key satisfies the predetermined condition.

Embodiments herein describe creating parent composite actions that can include multiple child objects. The child object can be needle point paths or child composite actions (which also include needle point paths). For example, a parent composite action can include a mix of child composite actions and needle point paths, only child composite actions, or only needle point paths. The needle point paths in the parent composite action can be translated into a single needle point path which can then be converted into a machine embroidery file.
