Washing and drying machine
Improvement in heat exchange efficiency can be promoted, a heat exchange can be efficiently performed, a space can be saved, and drying time can be shortened. A washing and drying machine includes a drum configured to accommodate clothes, a motor configured to drive the drum, a tub configured to accommodate the drum and store washing water, and a circulation flow path configured to circulate drying air into and out of the drum. A circulation duct constituting a part of the circulation flow path is connected to a converging portion configured to converge drying air. A dehumidifier is installed in one or more duct systems of the circulation duct. The washing and drying machine further includes a controller configured to control the dehumidifier and two duct cleaning pipes installed in branch ducts and configured to supply water to the dehumidifier.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FAN OPERATION DETECTION
In a washing machine appliance, a vent line extends between the wash tub and the aperture on the cabinet. The vent line includes a fan, a humidity sensor, and a controller. The controller is configured to activate the fan during a drying cycle in order to urge air from the wash tub into the vent line and out of the aperture in the cabinet. Compare, across a set interval of time, a difference in a humidity measurement from the humidity sensor to a reference humidity value. Detect a fault in the drying cycle in response to the difference in humidity exceeding the reference humidity at least a set number of times.

Washing machine ventilation structure
A washing machine appliance including a ventilation structure. A vent line is at a wash tub. A vent filter is provided to the vent line that allows air to flow from the wash tub, and through the vent line, the vent filter redirecting cleaning fluids impinging on the vent filter back toward the wash tub. The vent filter may include a plurality of louvers. The louvers may be located adjacent to one another so as to form a plurality of openings for the flow of air from the wash tub.
LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed is a laundry treatment apparatus, which directly heats a drum accommodating laundry therein, and which is enhanced in efficiency and safety. The laundry treatment apparatus includes a drum formed of a metal material and provided to accommodate laundry therein, an induction module spaced apart from a circumferential surface of the drum and provided to heat the circumferential surface of the drum via a magnetic field that is generated when current is applied to a coil, a lifter provided in the drum to move the laundry inside the drum when the drum rotates, and a module controller configured to control an output of the induction module so as to control an amount of heat generated from the circumferential surface of the drum. The module controller variably controls the amount of heat that is generated based on a change in a position of the lifter that occurs when the drum rotates.
WASHING AND DRYING MACHINE
A washing and drying machine includes: a washing drum for accommodating the washings and rotating under a driving force of a motor; an air supply portion for supplying air into the washing drum; a heating portion configured to heat the air to be supplied into the washing drum when turned on and stop heating when turned off; and a control portion for controlling the motor, the air supply portion and the heating portion to execute a washing and drying operation. A drying procedure in the washing and drying operation includes main drying treatment repeated for multiple times. During each time of the main drying treatment, the control portion is configured to keep the heating portion being on within a first period, and keep the heating portion being off within a second period different from the first period, and the second period is longer than the first period.
