The present invention relates to a flexible metal patch having antioxidant activity and brightening activity, the patch containing a biodegradable metal represented by Chemical Formula 1. The patch has DPPH free radical scavenge activity, thereby being useful in implementing antioxidant and brightening functions. Since the patch itself exhibits antioxidant activity and brightening activity without requiring combined use with other natural extracts or synthetic compounds, the patch can be easily used, can be easily locally applied to a region around or under the eyes. The patch is useful in preparation of cosmetics having effective antioxidant activity and brightening activity.

Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products comprising a non-crosslinked binder that are durable and dispersible. The products generally have a Slosh time less than 2 minutes, such as less than about 60 seconds, such as less than about 45 seconds. A composition is provided for use as a buffer in personal care and pharmaceutical formulations. The composition comprises complex esters of boric acid and simple α-hydroxy carboxylic acids, and the corresponding basic conjugate salts of complex esters of boric acid and simple α-hydroxy carboxylic acids. The weight of boric acid and α-hydroxy acid is up to about 1.0% by weight (w/w %) of the composition. The molar ratio of boric acid to α-hydroxy acid is between about 1:1 and about 1:2. The composition may be formulated for topical application. Formulations comprising the composition include a personal lubricant, wound cream, feminine cleansing douche, moisturizing lotion, a wipe, and a cleansing wash. A method of treating the skin is also provided, the method comprising the step of topically applying onto the skin an effective amount of the composition.

A skin-attaching sheet including an attaching portion configured for attaching to skin. The attaching portion includes a color-changeable layer that changes color following exposure to ultraviolet rays, and the attaching portion has a color difference (ΔE*ab) in an L*a*b* color system between before exposure and 10 seconds after exposure of 5 or more and 300 or less in a standard exposure test in which the attaching portion is exposed to ultraviolet rays in a moist state.

The present disclosure relates to an infusion product for making a beverage, such as a tea or tea-like drink. In order to produce the composition of the present disclosure, plant materials are contacted with a solvent to remove an extract. The remaining plant materials are then formed into a fibrous structure or network, such as a sheet or fibrous layer. The extract may be further treated or concentrated and then reapplied to the plant materials. In accordance with the present disclosure, the resulting sheet or layer is then reduced to discrete pieces having a unique particle size distribution. Through the process of the present disclosure, a composition is produced that not only has a minimal amount of fines and dust, but can also have a relatively low bulk density.
