Washing machine
A washing machine is provided. The washing machine includes a first housing; a second housing disposed on the first housing; a first tub covered by the first housing and having a first opening formed at a front surface; a second tub covered by the second housing and having a second opening formed at an upper surface; a drain path provided to drain wash water of the first tub and wash water of the second tub and having at least one portion located at a position higher than a maximum water storage height of the second tub; and a connector coupled to the first housing and disposed at one portion of the drain path where wash water of the first tub and wash water of the second tub are joined.
Clothing treatment device
A laundry treating apparatus includes a tub; a first drum disposed within the tub; a second drum disposed in the first drum and configured to couple to the first drum and to perform washing separately from the first drum; and a water discharge mechanism mounted on the second drum. The water discharge mechanism includes: a seat portion extending radially inwardly from a side wall of the second drum; a water receiving hole defined in the seat portion for receiving washing water from the second drum; and a water-discharging hole defined in the side wall for discharging washing water to an outside. The water discharge mechanism is configured to selectively flow washing-water into the discharge mechanism through the water receiving hole or discharge washing-water to the outside through the water-discharging hole, based on a magnitude of centrifugal force cause by rotation of the second drum.
Lid assembly for a laundry appliance
A laundry appliance includes a cabinet defining an interior cavity. A frame has a raised outer edge and defines a support structure. A first panel is received by the outer edge of the frame and rests upon the support structure in a first lid configuration. A second panel is received by the outer edge of the frame and rests upon a portion of the support structure in a second lid configuration. A trim is selectively coupled to the support structure in the second lid configuration.

Method of controlling laundry treatment apparatus
Disclosed is a control method of a laundry treatment apparatus including a cabinet defining an external appearance and having a front opening, a drawer provided to be discharged through the opening, a tub accommodated in the drawer to accommodate wash water therein, a drum rotatably provided inside the tub to accommodate laundry therein, a fastening unit configured to separably couple the drawer to the cabinet, and a sensing unit configured to sense whether the drawer is discharged from the cabinet, the method including receiving a control command to operate the laundry treatment apparatus, sensing whether insertion of the drawer into the cabinet is completed by controlling the sensing unit, locking the drawer to the cabinet by controlling the fastening unit, performing the control command, and releasing a locked state so as to separate the drawer from the cabinet by controlling the fastening unit when the control command is completely performed.
WASHING MACHINE
A washing machine includes a first washing tub, and a second washing tub detachably coupled to the first washing tub. The second washing tub includes a container containing laundry, a lower cover coupled to a top of the container and having an inlet configured to receive a water stream moving upwards in the container when the first washing tub rotates, and an upper cover coupled to a top of the lower cover and having an opening for putting the laundry into the container. A flow path is provided between the lower cover and the upper cover to discharge the water stream introduced through the inlet to an outside of the second washing tub. A slide lock is provided on the upper cover, movable between a binding position and an unbinding position, bound to the lower cover in the binding position, and separated from the lower cover in the unbinding position.
Washer extractor machine with improved door closing sensing system
A washer extractor machine is provided. The washer extractor machine includes a casing defining an interior chamber that is accessed through a first opening in the casing that has an associated outer door. A cylinder body is supported for rotation in the interior chamber of the casing. The cylinder body has a hollow interior that is accessed through a second opening in the cylinder body. An inner door is supported on the cylinder body for movement relative to the second opening between open and closed positions. A door closing sensing system includes a sensor element and a target element supported on the inner door. The sensor element and the target element being arranged relative to one another such that the target is in alignment with the line-of-sight of the sensor element when the inner door is in the closed position.
WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A washing machine includes: a case defining a receiving space and an open surface, a drawer provided in the case and configured to slide out through the open surface of the case, the drawer being configured to perform at least one of a washing operation, a rinsing operation, a spin-drying operation, or an air-drying operation for laundry, and a locking device configured to limit a sliding motion of the drawer relative to the case. The locking device includes: a holder provided on an inner wall surface of the case, a lever provided in the drawer and configured to be inserted into the holder, and an elastic member provided in a portion of the holder to which the lever is inserted and configured to come into contact with the lever in a space between the holder and the lever.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE WITH VENT
A laundry treating appliance includes a ventilation system for reducing buildup of odor. The ventilation system can be configured to periodically evacuate air from the treating chamber to refresh the air within the treating chamber. Fresh air can be pumped from an entrance in the bottom of the cabinet and can exit an opening in the washing machine.
