A top-loading-type washing machine including a drum, a drive module for rotating the drum via a drive shaft, inner and outer pulsators placed in the drum to be rotated in opposite directions, and a gearbox connected to the drive shaft for rotating both the pulsators. The gearbox includes a sun gear rotatably connected to the drive shaft, planetary gears rotatably engaged with the sun gear, a ring gear rotatably engaged with the planetary gears, and a carrier for connecting the planetary gears so as to be rotated along with the planetary gears. The washing machine achieves excellent washing performance via rotation of the pulsators in opposite directions and variable speeds of the pulsators relative to the drum depending on the size of the laundry load.

Reinforcing cap for a tub rear wall of an appliance

A laundry appliance includes a tub having a rear wall that includes a plurality of structural ribs. A drive hub has a bearing housing insert injection molded into the rear wall. A stator is attached to the drive hub at stator fastening portions exposed through the rear wall of the tub. A reinforcing cap is fixed to the structural ribs of the rear wall of the tub. The bearing housing of the drive hub extends rearwards through a portion of the reinforcing cap. The stator fastening portions are exposed through the reinforcing cap.

WASHING MACHINE

A washing machine including a first tub accommodated in a housing and formed by assembling a first member disposed in the front portion with a second member disposed in the rear portion; a second tub disposed above the first tub, a drum rotatably disposed in the inside of the second tub; and a driving shaft connected to the drum, configured to transfer a driving force to the drum and located further behind than an engaged portion of the first member and the second member of the first tub.

LAUNDRY DEVICE

A laundry device comprises an outer tub, an inner tub, an inner magnetic ring and an outer magnetic ring. One of the inner magnetic ring and the outer magnetic ring is directly or indirectly fixed on a bottom wall of the inner tub and positioned at the outer side of the bottom wall of the inner tub, and the other one is directly or indirectly fixed on a bottom wall of the outer tub and positioned at the inner side of the bottom wall of the outer tub. An upper end face and a lower end face of the inner magnetic ring have the same polarity as the upper end face and the lower end face of the outer magnetic ring so that a radial repulsion between the inner magnetic ring and the outer magnetic ring is used to suppress vibration of the inner tub and/or the outer tub.

A washing machine comprises: an outer drum; an inner drum rotatably disposed in the outer drum; and a rotation mechanism for driving the inner drum to rotate. A rotation shaft of the rotation mechanism extends upwardly from the bottom of the outer drum to a bottom wall of the inner drum to drive the inner drum to rotate. The washing machine further comprises: at least one pair of magnets including an outer ring-shaped magnet and an inner ring-shaped magnet which is disposed at a radial inner side of the outer ring-shaped magnet and opposite to the outer ring-shaped magnet. The inner ring-shaped magnet is disposed on the rotation shaft, and the outer ring-shaped magnet is disposed at the bottom wall of the inner drum or the outer drum, so that a magnetic force between them can reduce a magnitude of vibration of the inner drum or the outer drum.

Laundry treating appliance

A fabric treating appliance includes a chassis defining an interior. A tub is provided in the interior defining a liquid chamber. An exoskeleton is disposed within the liquid chamber and houses a drum defining a treating chamber for treating an article of laundry. A rear drive plate is provided at one end of the drum and at least partially defines the exoskeleton. One or more braces can couple to the rear drive plate to improve structural integrity of the exoskeleton housing the drum.
