Functional ingredients can also be natural dye where it is incorporated in nanofibre matrix to make coloured nanofibres. Coloured nanofibres can be used for makeup products such as blush, eye shadow, eyebrow, nail polish, lipstick, contouring and hair dye product. The nanofibre matrix comprising 100% natural biopolymers with or without functional ingredients can be processed to assorted shapes or easily cut by consumers for using on different areas of skin for different purposes.

Hydrogel-Fabric Composite For Cosmetic Applications
20220354753 · 2022-11-10 ·

A hydrogel-fabric composite for cosmetic and therapeutic applications. This application allows the shape retaining solidified gel structure or multi gel composite of a desired hydrogel or blend of hydrogels to disperse the active solutes within the gel more evenly while maintaining activity and then resulting in a set gel shape that conforms with an underlying fabric substrate. Specifically, having the active solutes dispersed within the gel provides an even concentration of active solutes and penetrates the skin over a set amount of time due to the concentration gradient. Further, the temperature constraints of active solute ingredients while still suspending them within the hydrogel for cosmetic use allow for adequate suspension and dissolution of active ingredients throughout the final gel product. Shape retaining Hydrogels, when used with specific active solutes, will remain translucent inferring the purity of the product. Preferred hydrogels to be used in cosmetic facemasks include agar, agarose, carrageenan, carbomers, carboxymethyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, gelatin, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium aluminum silicate (veegum), methylcellulose, poloxamers, polyvinyl alcohol, sodium alginate, tragacanth gum, and xanthan hum. Use of a specific hydrogel from this list will depend on which active ingredients are desired to be included in the final product. The process described herein allows for increased dissolution of active ingredients into the final product.

Cosmetic composition for inhibiting sebum hypersecretion

Provided are a cosmetic composition for inhibiting sebum hypersecretion and a method of inhibiting sebum hypersecretion using the same. According to the present invention, there may be provided the cosmetic composition of inhibiting and adjusting sebum secretion which is harmless to the human body with excellent skin safety and decreases activity of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ) to fundamentally decrease sebum overproduction, thereby providing the skin with an effective effect, and a method of using the same.

Microenvironmental gas permeable layer capable of supplying hydrogen

A gas permeable layer capable of supplying hydrogen includes a thin layer, encapsulating a hydrogen production formula. An outer side of the thin layer is airtight. An inner side is air-permeable. An inner side surface has a plurality of small holes. The thin layer can be a single layer or a composite layer. The hydrogen production formula does not dissipate. The hydrogen production formula absorbs moisture in the air or liquid water, thereby generating hydrogen. The hydrogen is released onto the skin and into the human body through the small holes. The hydrogen production formula includes metal peroxides, metal hydroxides, or metal hydrides and aluminum powder, or microsilica. The gas permeable layer can be used in sanitary products including eye masks, mouth masks, face masks, cosmetic facial masks, bras, pasties, nursing pads, sanitary napkins (towels), diapers, panty liners, wound dressing, woundplasts, bandage gauze, decubitus pads.

Unidirectional Moisturizing Nanofiber Facial Mask Substrate with Asymmetric Wettability and Preparation Thereof
20230063352 · 2023-03-02 ·

The present invention discloses a unidirectional moisturizing nanofiber facial mask substrate with asymmetric wettability and preparation thereof. The preparation includes: preparing a superhydrophilic electrospun fiber membrane on a substrate by electrospinning; preparing a hydrophobic electrospun fiber membrane by electrospinning on a lateral surface of the superhydrophilic electrospun fiber membrane away from the substrate to form a double-layered membrane; and removing the substrate, and drying the double-layered membrane to obtain the asymmetric unidirectional moisturizing facial mask substrate with one side being superhydrophilic and the other side being hydrophobic. The superhydrophilic layer can absorb a nutrient solution and be applied to the skin surface, while the hydrophobic layer can keep itself dry, reduce the consumption of the nutrient solution and inhibit volatilization of the nutrient solution. The process is simple, uses readily available materials, and is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and low-cost, thus solving several key problems with current commercial facial mask substrates.
