Laundry treating apparatus with solvent supply part for dry-cleaning solvent

A laundry treating apparatus includes a casing, a tub provided in the casing (10), and a rotatable drum (20) provided in the tub. The laundry treating apparatus also includes a water supply part provided in the casing to supply water to the rotatable drum and a solvent supply part supplying dry-cleaning solvent to the rotatable drum. The laundry treating apparatus further includes a condensation device that condenses a gaseous portion of the solvent into a liquid form and supplies the solvent in the liquid form to the solvent supply part.

Washing machine

A washing machine is configured to perform washing using carbon dioxide. The washing machine includes a first housing that defines an opening and an inner space, a drum disposed in the inner space of the first housing and configured to receive laundry, a barrier that is coupled to the first housing and seals the opening of the first housing, and a second housing that faces a surface of the barrier and is coupled to the first housing. The barrier defines (i) a first space between the first housing and the barrier from leaking and (ii) a second space between the second housing, where the barrier is configured to block liquid carbon dioxide injected into the first space from leaking into the second space.

CARBON DIOXIDE-BASED CLEANING SYSTEMS

Carbon dioxide-based cleaning systems include a holding tank containing a supply of liquid carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2), a rotary cleaner having an internal drum arranged therein, the rotary cleaner fluidly coupled to the holding tank to receive liquid CO.sub.2 therefrom, the rotary cleaner configured to output CO.sub.2 with contaminants after a cleaning cycle, a compressor arranged to receive gaseous CO.sub.2 and increase a pressure of the gaseous CO.sub.2, and a condenser arranged to receive the increased pressure gaseous CO.sub.2 from the compressor and convert the gaseous CO.sub.2 into liquid CO.sub.2 and direct the liquid CO.sub.2 into the holding tank.

Laundry treating apparatus and method for controlling the same

A laundry treating apparatus includes a pressure vessel configured to receive fluid and to maintain a pressure therein to be higher than an atmospheric pressure, a separator that divides the pressure vessel into a first chamber and a second chamber, a drum rotatably disposed in the first chamber and configured to accommodate laundry therein, a driver configured to rotate the drum, and a pump configured to cause the fluid to flow between the first chamber and the second chamber.
