Laundry appliances cold water sanitization
A laundry appliance includes a cabinet defining an opening with a laundry vessel mounted within the cabinet. The laundry vessel defines a treatment chamber. The laundry appliance also includes an electrolytic hypochlorous acid generator upstream of the treatment chamber with respect to a flow of cold water through the laundry appliance and a controller. The controller may be configured for and/or a method of sanitizing the laundry appliance may include opening a valve upstream of the electrolytic hypochlorous acid generator to provide the flow of cold water through the laundry appliance, confirming the presence of the cold water in the laundry appliance after opening the valve, and activating the electrolytic hypochlorous acid generator after confirming the presence of the cold water in the laundry appliance.
AUTOMATIC DRYING CYCLE AFTER EXECUTION OF SELF CLEAN CYCLE IN A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
A laundry appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet and defining a chamber configured for receiving a load of clothes, a door pivotally mounted to the cabinet for providing selective access to the chamber, and a user interface for controlling operation of the laundry appliance. A controller is configured to initiate a self-clean cycle and to automatically commence a drying cycle at the conclusion of the self-clean cycle. The drying cycle is based on operation data associated with the drying cycle, such as a predetermined period of time to complete drying or based on a predetermined final humidity of air exhausted from the chamber during the drying cycle.
System and Method for Disinfecting and Drying of Personal Items and Clothing Materials
An ultraviolet (UV) dryer comprising a housing, a first set of UV lights, a control interface, a device memory, and a device processor storing a device application. The housing can comprise a first chamber mounted on said housing, said first chamber comprising a first access door that is configured to enclose said first set of UV lights within the inner surface of said first chamber. The first set of UV lights comprising a first plurality of UV lights. The control interface can be placed at the front panel of said housing, said control interface comprising one or more inputs capable of operating said UV dryer. The device processor can receive input data through said one or more inputs and implement a set of instructions from said input data, wherein one of said set of instructions include disinfecting the daily used items using said first set of ultraviolet (UV) lights.
DRYER APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR CLEANING OPERATION
A dryer appliance including a drum, a heater assembly, a reservoir, and a controller is provided. The drum defines a chamber for receipt of articles for drying. The heater assembly is in fluid communication with the chamber to flow air thereto. The reservoir is configured to receive a fluid, such as a cleaning solution, a disinfecting solution, or a perfume solution. The reservoir is in selective fluid communication with the chamber to provide the fluid to the chamber. The controller is configured to perform operations that, when executed by the controller, causes the dryer appliance to perform operations. The operations include flowing fluid to the chamber from the reservoir.
