CONTROLLING METHOD FOR CLOTHES DRYER
A controlling method for a dryer is applied to a dryer, in which at least one of a heat pump system and a heater is selected as a heat source for heating air supplied in to a drum and a heat supply capacity of the heat pump system is more than that of the heater. The controlling method includes, when both the heat pump system and the heater are selected as the heat sources, turning the heat pump system on, turning the heater on after the heat pump system is normally turned on, turning the heater off to cool the drum and terminate drying after the drying is performed, and turning the heat pump system off after the heater is turned off.
METHOD FOR DRYING LAUNDRY IN A LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE
A method of drying laundry in a laundry treating appliance having a treating chamber in which the laundry is received for drying comprises moving the treating chamber to redistribute the laundry, supplying air to the treating chamber to define a supply air flow, exhausting the supplied air from the treating chamber to define an exhaust air flow, heating the air supplied to the treating chamber by actuating a heater at full output to define a first heating phase and then cycling the heater ON/OFF to define a second heating phase.

Control method for laundry dryer
The present invention relates to a control method for a laundry dryer. The laundry dryer is a heat-pump type laundry dryer and a compressor of the laundry dryer is a variable-frequency compressor. The control method includes setting a minimum running frequency of the compressor according to an amount of clothes to be dried, where the more the clothes are, the larger the set minimum running frequency is. Specifically, when laundry drying is started, the amount of the clothes being dried is detected. According to the detected information, a minimum running frequency of the compressor, corresponding to the information, is invoked, and the minimum running frequency of the compressor in the current laundry drying process is set.
CLOTHES DRYER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
A clothes dryer may include a drum in which laundry is receivable; a humidity detector to detect a dryness level of the laundry in the drum; and a controller configured to: obtain the dryness level of the laundry in the drum detected by the humidity detector while a first initial drying cycle is performed, determine a weight category of the laundry in the drum from a plurality of weight categories of laundry based on the obtained dryness level, obtain control information based on the determined weight category, and control, according to the obtained control information, a main drying cycle to dry the laundry in the drum after the first initial drying cycle is performed.
WASHING MACHINE
A washing machine can have at least one heating element and be configured to perform a cycle of operation. A method of operation of the washing machine can include signaling a relay circuit to switch operation of the at least one heating element. A washing machine and a dryer can each have at least one heating element and be configured to perform a cycle of operation. The washing machine and dryer can be connected to a shared power source. A method of sharing power between the washing machine and the dryer can include allocating power between the washing machine and the dryer.

Apparatus and method for controlling the energy usage of an appliance
A system and method for controlling an appliance with respect to the appliance's energy usage, in which a signal relating to the energy used by the appliance is received, and a determination of whether to continue or interrupt a cycle of operation being conducted by the appliance is made based at least on part upon the receipt of the signal.
LAUNDRY TREATMENT MACHINE
The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine. The laundry treatment machine according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a casing; a door attached to the casing; a washing tub disposed inside the casing; a heating unit; a blower for supplying to the washing tub; a temperature detector for detecting a temperature of the washing tub; a motor for rotating the washing tub; a driving unit for driving the motor; and a controller to control the blower to operate in a first drying mode, and to control the heating unit to intermittently output a first power during a first period after the operation of the blower while controlling an operating time of the heating unit to increase during the first period. Accordingly, the power consumption can be reduced while reducing the drying period in the drying mode.
Intelligent electronic system for previously sensing the dryness condition of a textile clothes load in an automatic electronic clothes dryer machine
An intelligent electronic system for previously sensing the dryness condition of a textile clothes load applicable to an automatic electronic clothes dryer machine is disclosed, which comprises: an electronic integrated circuit of the microcontroller type located in a dryer machine, wherein said microcontroller receives and processes signals coming from a plurality of temperature sensing means and from humidity sensing means in order to make decisions and to inform the dryer machine what action it must execute; as well as a method for previously sensing the dryness condition of a textile clothes load applicable to any automatic electronic clothes dryer machine for home use, wherein said method comprises the steps of: (a) collecting information about air temperature at the drum's outlet and inlet, as well as information on the humidity conditions of the textile clothes load; (b) with the information collected in step a) above determining whether the dryer machine is cold or warm; (c) letting a first period of time to elapse during which measuring of air temperature conditions of the drum's outlet and inlet as well as humidity conditions of said textile clothes load continues; (d) checking whether or not said conduit is obstructed; (e) letting a second period of time to elapse during which measuring of air temperature conditions of the drum's outlet and inlet as well as humidity conditions of said textile clothes load continues; (f) determining whether the textile clothes load is small or large; (g) determining whether the textile clothes load is small or large; and, (h) checking whether or not the large or small textile clothes load is dry, by comparing the humidity conditions of said small or large load against a preset parameter.
