LAUNDRY MACHINE

A clothes dryer includes a housing, a fan, and a sound blocker. The housing defines an internal cavity and an orifice. The fan is configured to direct air through the internal cavity. The sound blocker is disposed within the cavity and is configured to linearly slide between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the sound blocker is disposed over the orifice to obstruct fluid communication between the internal cavity and the exterior of the cabinet via the orifice, and to reduce noise emitted through the orifice. In the second position, the sound blocker is retracted away from the orifice to allow fluid communication between the internal cavity and the exterior of the cabinet via the orifice.

A method for controlling a home appliance in consideration of a state of a surrounding environment is disclosed. A method for controlling a home appliance according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes operating a home appliance using a first operation profile, identifying at least one of a behavior type of a user or a type of sound around the user, using Internet of Things (IoT) communication using 5G communication and artificial intelligence (AI), and changing an operation profile for operating a home appliance to a second operation profile, based on at least one of the identified behavior type of the user or type of sound around the user. According to the present disclosure, in accordance with the state of the surrounding environment, the operation noise can be reduced or the operation time of the home appliance can reduced without increasing the discomfort of the user, and therefore the discomfort of the user due to the operation noise can be relieved.

Method for controlling expansion valve of frequency conversion heat pump clothes dryer

A method for controlling an expansion valve of a frequency conversion heat pump clothes dryer. The open degree of the valve is adjusted through parameters such as the operation time/power/current at a frequency of the frequency conversion compressor; a reference value of the operation time/power/current at a certain frequency is set, and compared with an actual value of the operation time/power/current at the certain frequency of the compressor; if the actual value of the operation time is less than the set reference value or the actual value of the power/current is greater than the reference value, the open degree of the expansion value is increased; and if the actual value of the operation time is greater than the set reference value or the actual value of the power/current is less than the set reference value, the open degree of the expansion valve is decreased.

There are disclosed a laundry machine and a control method of a laundry machine including a heat pump module having an evaporator, a condenser and a compressor; and a blower for supplying the air heated by the heat pump module to a laundry accommodation unit, the control method including an initial operation step for operating the compressor at a first operation frequency; and a frequency decreasing step for decreasing the operation frequency of the compressor, when one or more of a compressed refrigerant temperature which is a temperature of refrigerant having passed the compressor and a condensed refrigerant temperature which is a temperature of a refrigerant having passed the condenser are a preset temperature of higher.

Night cycle algorithm for a laundry appliance to minimize operational noise

A laundry dryer includes a cabinet, a user interface that is operably coupled to the cabinet, a motor that is disposed within the cabinet and communicatively coupled with the user interface, and a controller that is communicatively coupled with the user interface and the motor, respectively. The controller includes a memory storage that includes a plurality of night routines. The controller is configured with a selectable time point and is further configured to select at least one of the plurality of night routines at the selectable time point.

Laundry appliance

Laundry appliance (1), for example laundry washing machine, laundry dryer or laundry washer dryer, having a) a cabinet (2) with a housing (10) having at least one front face (112A, 112B) and at least one front panel (12), b) at least one fixing device (38, 22, 131) for fixing said front panel (12) to the housing (10) by applying a fixing force in a fixing direction (FD),and c) at least one pulling device (20, 30, 12A, 12B) for exerting a pulling force (F) in a pulling direction (PD) onto the front panel (12) pulling the front panel (12) against at least one front face (112A, 112B) of the housing (10, 10A, 10B). The fixing direction (FD) of the fixing force is different to the pulling direction (PD) of the pulling force (F), and the fixing device (38A, 131) is coupled to the pulling device (30) in such a way that the fixing force generates the pulling force (F) or is partly transformed into the pulling force (F).
