A handheld steam iron for straightening creases in wrinkled fabric is disclosed. The handheld steam iron can combine the benefits of both an iron and a steamer by providing heat and steam to a garment. The handheld steam iron can include an upper arm and a lower body. The upper arm and lower body can include a plate, steam channels, or both. The steam iron can include one or more pumps to provide water to the upper arm and/or lower body so that both sides of the steam iron receive equal amounts of steam. The steam iron can also include a removable liquid reservoir that enables a user to quickly replace the liquid provided for steam.

An iron-steamer appliance includes: a housing including an internal water reservoir; a sole plate attached under the housing, the sole plate including first vents; first and second steam chambers in fluid communication with the water reservoir, wherein the first steam chamber is in fluid communication with the first vents; and a steamer nozzle in fluid communication with the second steam chamber, the steamer nozzle including second vents. The steamer nozzle is movable between retracted and extended positions, wherein in the retracted position, the nozzle is located directly above a peripheral footprint defined by the sole plate, and in the extended position, the nozzle is located at least partially forwardly of the sole plate peripheral footprint, and wherein in moving from the retracted position to the extended position, the steamer nozzle moves substantially parallel to the sole plate.

A portable textile treatment device includes a heatable soleplate for contacting and treating the textile, an image sensor and an illumination system. The image sensor has an active surface sensitive and takes an image of the textile, and the illumination system has a light source that illuminates a portion of the textile when the image is being taken. The portable device also includes a control unit configured to execute an algorithm stored in the portable device for obtaining a classification of the textile based on taken image, and based on the classification for controlling at least one operating parameter of the portable textile treatment device. The image sensor and/or light source are oriented with respect to the surface of the heatable soleplate, with an absolute value of an orientation angle being in the range from 15 to 70° C.

A portable textile treatment device includes a heatable soleplate for contacting and treating the textile, an image sensor and an illumination system. The image sensor has an active surface sensitive and takes an image of the textile, and the illumination system has a light source that illuminates a portion of the textile when the image is being taken. A device with a steam generation function comprises a water storage cavity, a heating cavity with a steam outlet, a guide channel for communicating the water storage cavity with the heating cavity, and a heating element configured in the heating cavity, wherein the heating cavity has a first chamber and a second chamber communicated with the first chamber, and the first chamber is located on one side of the second chamber; and the heating element is configured in the first chamber, and the steam outlet is formed in the second chamber and is spaced from the first chamber in the horizontal direction by a preset first distance to prevent boiling water in the first chamber from being ejected via the steam outlet. The device provided by the present invention is safe in use.

An apparatus for steam treatment of laundry includes a base containing a water reservoir, connected by a conduit to an ironing and/or smoothing tool including at least one hole for the emission of steam, at least one pole which supports a holding element on which a garment can be hung and/or supported in order to allow it to be treated using the tool, and a support device for placing the tool in a stable manner during inactive ironing and/or smoothing phases, the support device including an attachment member intended to cooperate with a first complementary attachment element supported by the pole in order to allow the support device to be removably attached to the pole, wherein the base includes a second complementary attachment element allowing the support device to be removably attached to the base.
