DOMESTIC APPLIANCE FOR IRONING CLOTHES AND SIMILARS
An appliance for ironing clothes and similar, comprising a body adapted to support a soleplate and fixed to a handgrip; heating means arranged within said body and connectable to an electricity network for the heating of said plate; and means for generating steam connected to a water tank and to said plate to diffuse steam towards the outside via first and second holes arranged on said plate; said body being mounted rotatable around an axis of lateral rotation passing through said handgrip; said axis passing through said handgrip at an anterior portion of the handgrip and being inclined by an angle with respect to said handgrip so as to allow a user of the appliance to move said body and said plate between a first operating position for ironing said clothes in direct contact with said plate, and a second operating position for vertical steam ironing of said clothes also not directly in contact with the clothes; characterized in that in at said second operating position for vertical ironing, said plate is arranged in a position rotated by 180° around said axis with respect to the position assumed by said plate in said first operating position.
Garment steaming device
A garment steaming device includes a steam generator (20) having a heater (22) and an ironing surface (32) against which a fabric of a garment is locatable. An intermediate section (50) is disposed between the steam generator and the ironing surface to transfer heat from the steam generator to the ironing surface so that the ironing surface is indirectly heated by the steam generator via the intermediate section. The operating temperature of the ironing surface is not user selectable during use. Furthermore, the intermediate section is configured to have a thermal transmittance so that, during use, heat transfer from the steam generator to the ironing surface is controlled and the temperature of the ironing surface is maintained between 90 C. and 155 C. when the ironing surface is located against a fabric in each of a stationary condition and a moving condition.

The invention relates to a method of operating a textile treatment device comprising a heatable soleplate intended to be in contact with a textile for treating the textile. The method comprises a first step (1001) of setting a first temperature target for the heatable soleplate, and a step (1002) of detecting movement of said textile treatment device. If the step (1002) of 5 detecting movement did not detect any movement of said textile treatment device during more than a given first time duration, a step (1004) of actively decreasing the temperature of the heatable soleplate (4) up to reaching a first given temperature having a value below said first temperature target.

Steam iron with a collection compartment for calcified deposits
The present application relates to steam iron (10) comprising a soleplate (12), a discharge element (14), a retaining member (16) and a collection compartment (17). The soleplate (12) comprises a steam chamber (13) for generating steam. The steam chamber (13) comprising an opening (13A) arranged at a rear end (R) of the soleplate (12). The discharge element (14) extends from the opening (13A). The collection compartment (17) is formed in the discharge element (14) for collecting calcified deposits (S) formed in the steam chamber (13). The retaining member (16) is arranged in the discharge element (14). T retaining member (16) extends over a front end portion (P1) of the collection compartment (17) to retain the calcified deposits (S) in the collection comportment (17). This invention prevents the calcified deposits from escaping from the collection compartment when the steam iron is tilted.
