Two-phase cosmetic composition comprising a 4-(3-alkoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)alkyl ketone
The invention relates to a composition comprising an aqueous phase and an oily phase which are visually separate and superimposed, 1,3-propanediol and a ketone compound of formula (I): ##STR00001## wherein R1 is a C.sub.2-C.sub.4 alkyl radical; R2 is H or a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 hydrocarbon-based radical; R3 is a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 hydrocarbon-based radical; and C—X is C═O. The invention can be used for the cosmetic treatment of keratin materials.
SKINCARE COMPOSITIONS
According to the present invention there is provided a multi-phase fluid skincare composition comprising (a) at least one cream phase; and (b) at least one gel phase; wherein the cream phase and the gel phase are visually distinct phases that are packaged in physical contact: wherein the viscosity ratio of the cream phase to the gel plastic is 1.25 or greater: 1 or 1:1.25 or greater, preferably 1.25 or greater 1; wherein the viscosity of the cream phase is at least 15 Pa-s; wherein the viscosity of the gel phase is at least 10 Pa-s; wherein the cream plastic and the gel phase are present in the composition at a level such that the weight ratio of cream phase to the gel phase is within the range of from 65:35 to 35:65; and wherein the viscosity is measured at 23° C. The present invention also provides a collapsible tube having an outlet bore and containing the composition as defined above, wherein the tube is filled such that, when the composition is extended from the outlet bore, the extruded composition comprises the cream plastic and the gel plastic that are visually distinct from one another and within a weight ratio of the cream phase to the gel phase of between 65:35 and 35:65 across the cross-section of the extrusion. The present invention also provides a use of the composition defined above for the purpose of one or more of moisturising the skin, including hydrating the skin, improving the radiance of the skin, improving skin suppleness, reducing skin tightness, nourishing skin and/or reducing dryness. The present invention also provides a use of the composition defined above for the purpose of topical application to any one or more of the face, the neck skin and/or the decollete, preferably the face.
Biphase chemical peel
A biphasic leave-on skin peel composition, being light-weight, with a pleasing feel upon application, with little to no skin irritation and discomfort. The composition includes at least one of each of alpha and beta hydroxy acids and high content of non-water miscible oil and is present from at least 20% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. The oily and water phases may be present in equal amounts (about 1:1). The composition includes water and alcohol as solvents in the water phase and may include phenylethyl resorcinol and other optional additives, may be devoid or essentially free of surfactant.
CONTAINER CONTAINING A SHAMPOO COMPOSITION WITH AN AESTHETIC DESIGN FORMED BY BUBBLES
A container configured to hold a liquid shampoo composition with an aesthetic design formed at least in part by visually discernable, stable bubbles suspended therein. The shampoo composition can have a cleansing phase containing one or more detersive surfactants. In addition to the cleansing phase, the composition can have an additional cleansing phase and/or a benefit phase that can provide conditioning as well as additional visual interest.
MULTI-PHASE WATER-BASED SMUDGE-RESISTANT MAKE-UP REMOVER
A cleansing composition includes at least three visually distinct phase layers. The first visually distinct phase layer includes at least one cosmetic solvent and has a Hilderbrand solubility parameter δ value that is greater than 15 cal..sup.1/3. cm.sup.−2/3 and includes at least one cationic surfactant and at least one inorganic salt. The second visually distinct phase layer includes at least one cosmetic solvent having a Hilderbrand solubility parameter δ value less than 7.5 cal..sup.1/3. cm.sup.−2/3. And the third visually distinct phase layer includes at least one cosmetic solvent having a Hilderbrand solubility parameter δ value that is between 8 and 10 cal..sup.1/3. cm.sup.−2/3.
