A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ESSENTIAL OILS MODIFIED NANOCELLULOSE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
20210054104 · 2021-02-25 ·

The present invention provides a process for the preparation of essential oil modified nanocellulose and applications thereof. The invention further provides a process wherein the essential oil is covalently bonded with the nanocellulose such that the essential oil does not leach out. The edible coatings comprising the developed essential oil modified nanocellulose thus exhibit a prolonged antimicrobial effect.

A carbon fiber precursor treatment agent contains a smoothing agent that includes an amino-modified silicone, at least one onium salt selected from the group consisting of organic sulfuric acid phosphonium salts, organic sulfonic acid phosphonium salts, quaternary ammonium salts of an organic sulfuric acid having an alkyl group with not less than 3 carbon atoms in the molecule, and quaternary ammonium salts of an organic sulfonic acid having an alkyl group with not less than 3 carbon atoms in the molecule, and a nonionic surfactant.

REACTIVE FIBERS, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND OUTER SHELL OF CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL AND RADIOLOGICAL PROTECTIVE CLOTHING INCLUDING THE SAME

A reactive fiber, a method of manufacturing the reactive fiber, and an outer shell of chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) protective clothing including the reactive fiber are provided. The reactive fiber includes a fiber, a plurality of reactive projections formed on a surface of the fiber, and a plurality of hydrophobic projections formed on the fiber and surfaces of the reactive projections.

Manually tearable textile adhesive tape and apparatus for making same

The invention relates to a device for producing a manually tearable textile adhesive tape. The device has a supply unit for longitudinal and/or transverse threads and a treatment device. In the treatment device, the threads supplied by the supply unit are treated with a processing liquid that attacks the fibers of the particular thread until the tear strength of the thread is reduced by approximately 5% to 60%. The device also has a weaving unit, in which the treated threads and/or untreated threads are woven with each other in order to form a carrier tape. A final coating unit serves to coat the carrier tape with a glue at least on one side.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A HAND-TEARABLE TEXTILE ADHESIVE TAPE
20200362203 · 2020-11-19 ·

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a hand-tearable textile adhesive tape. First of all, a textile carrier tape (T) is treated, using a processing liquid (4) which acts upon the fibres, for long enough for its tear-resistance to fall below 100 N/cm. The textile carrier tape (T) is then washed and neutralised, and lastly a coating comprising an adhesive is applied to at least one side of said textile carrier tape (T).

HIGH-PERMEABILITY CELLULOSE FIBERS

High permeability curly fibers with enhanced fiber strength are produced by mercerizing cellulosic fibers. The fibers have relatively high values for curl, kink level, wet tensile strength, and bulk density when compared with current fibers. The disclosed fibers can be used in a wide range of applications including paper products such as filters.
