Marking composition
The invention relates to a marking composition, by means of which better protection of goods than hitherto available can be achieved independently of the coloring of the goods. The marking composition comprises an infrared-absorbing particulate component and carbon derivative, wherein the weight ratio of infrared-absorbing component to carbon derivative is in the range of approx. 10:1 to approx. 10,000:1.
Super-hydrophobic fabric and preparation method thereof
The present invention provides super-hydrophobic fabrics and a preparation method thereof, and belong to the field of textiles. The super-hydrophobic fabrics are obtained by finishing Pickering emulsion formed by amphiphilic particles stabilizing low-surface-energy substances in water. Via a one-step finishing method using Pickering emulsion technology, facile preparation of durable super-hydrophobic fabrics is realized. The static contact angle between the finished fabric surfaces and water droplets is greater than 150 degrees, and the water droplets can roll off easily; and after being subjected to 30 times of standard washing tests, the finished fabrics still maintains excellent water repellency. In addition, the Pickering emulsion preparation and finishing process of the present invention are environmentally friendly, pollution-free, facile to operate and widely applicable.

Antimicrobial coated textiles and method of preparation thereof
An antimicrobial coated textile is provided. The antimicrobial coated textile includes a textile substrate including a plurality of textile fibers and a coating. The coating includes 77.5 to 97.45 wt. % silica, 0.05 to 2.5 wt. % titanium dioxide, and 2.5 to 20 wt. % an oxide of a second metal, each based on a total weight of the coating. The second metal is selected from a group including zinc (Zn), selenium (Se), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), and zirconium (Zr), and the coating is disposed on a surface of the textile fibers. A method of preparing the antimicrobial coated textile is also provided.
COATED SUBSTRATES AND ARTICLES WITH ANTI-VIRAL PROPERTIES, AND FABRICATION PROCESSES
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to coated substrates having, e.g., anti-viral properties, to articles including the coated substrates, and to processes for making such coated substrates and articles. In an embodiment, a mask for preventing infection by a virus is provided. The mask includes a coated substrate having a breathing resistance (95 L/min, EN 149:2001) of about 6 mbar or less and a water droplet absorption time of less than about 5 seconds. The coated substrate includes a non-woven fabric having a weight of about 120 g/m.sup.2 or less according to ASTM D3776, and mineral oxide particles, iron oxide particles, or both, coupled to at least a portion of the non-woven fabric.
Tufted Pile Fabric as Framework for Stretchable and Wearable Composite Electrodes
In a preferred embodiment, there is provided a modified fabric composition, the composition comprising a fabric member and an electroactive member for storing energy, wherein the fabric member comprises a fabric framework defining a deformable plane and a plurality of projections extending at an angle from the plane, and wherein the electroactive member is coupled to at least one of the projections.
Ferrite compositions
Ferrite compositions, particularly ferrite coated substrates and more particularly fibre plys coated with ferrites in fibre reinforced polymer composites (FRPC), and composites with a plurality of functionalised fibre layers, include a magnetic ferrite composition for coating a substrate, said composition comprising a resin, and dispersed therein ferrite particulates, wherein said ferrite particulates have an average longest dimension of less than 500 nm. The composition may be used to provide a ferrite composite structure comprising at least one fibre ply, with at least one layer of a magnetic ferrite composition disposed thereon, wherein said ply is substantially encapsulated in a binder matrix to form a fibre reinforced polymer composite.

Topical dermatological composition
An object is to provide an external composition for skin capable of easily enhancing body balance ability even for ordinary people such as housewives, students, middle-aged and mature-aged males and females, and elderly persons who do not aggressively exercise on a routine basis other than athletes. The object has been solved by an external composition for skin including a rhodochrosite extract extracted from rhodochrosite with water, a hematite extract extracted from hematite with water, a smithsonite extract extracted from smithsonite with water, and an olivine extract extracted from olivine with water, and the like.
Metal detectable scouring pad
A detectable scouring pad is provided that is made with a sparse unwoven base polymer that defines the pad shape, an overcoating of cured thermoset resin loaded with a particulate on the base polymer, the particulate present in an amount to render the polymer detectable by X-ray detection or magnetometer detection. A process of detecting a scouring pad includes forming a fiber composed of a base polymer having a cross-section and a length, and distributing a particulate on the thermoplastic polymer in a thermoset resin matrix. The process further includes forming a sparse unwoven thermoplastic polymer from the fiber, and manufacturing the scouring pad from the sparse unwoven polymer by overcoating the base polymer with a particulate loaded thermoset resin. The scouring pad is passed through an X-ray detector or a magnetometer detector, and a signal is collected from the detector indicative of the presence of the scouring pad.
