Fungal textile materials and leather analogs
Textile compositions comprising at least one filamentous fungus are disclosed, as are methods for making and using such textile compositions. Embodiments of the textile compositions generally include at least one of a plasticizer, a polymer, and a crosslinker, in addition to the filamentous fungus. The disclosed textile compositions are particularly useful as analogs or substitutes for conventional textile compositions, including but not limited to leather.
LAUNDERABLE BACTERICIDAL AND VIRUCIDAL FABRIC FINISH
A launderable bactericidal and virucidal fabric finish formulation. The first component is a bactericidal and virucidal agent represented by formula (I):
##STR00001## wherein n is 7; R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 are jointly or independently selected from H or one of the following groups:
##STR00002## wherein R.sub.4 is selected from CH.sub.3 or H; m is an integer from 2 to 10; p is an integer from 9 to 15; q is an integer from 2 to 10. A second component includes one or more crosslinkers and/or one or more catalysts. A third component includes one or more transition metal salts.
Hydrophobic extenders in non-fluorinated surface effect coatings
The present invention relates to a coated article comprising a partial or complete durable non-fluorinated coating on the surface of an article, wherein the coating comprises 5 to 95% by weight of a hydrophobic compound, and 5 to 95% by weight of a surface effect agent, both based on the total solids weight of the coating, where the hydrophobic compound is selected from a hydrophobic cyclic or acyclic alcohol.

PREPARATION METHOD OF CARBON BLACK SYNTHETIC FILTER MATERIALS AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a preparation method of carbon black synthetic filter materials and an application thereof, which are prepared by impregnating nonwoven fabric filter fibers in a mixed solution consisting of carbon black, animal glue, glycerin, urea, cupric complex of amino acid, Turkey red oil, methylsilicone oil and deionized water, the nonwoven fabric filter fibers are coated with carbon black; wherein, the mixed solution is composed of the following weight parts of raw materials: 2˜4 parts of carbon black, 1˜3 parts of animal glue, 1˜3 parts of glycerin, 0.2˜0.4 parts of urea, 0.03˜0.06 parts of cupric complex of amino acid, 0.05˜0.15 parts of Turkey red oil, 0.05˜0.15 parts of methylsilicone oil, and 45˜55 parts of water. The present disclosure can improve the elimination of contaminants effectively and utilizing the installation space for the current filters efficiently, with strong practical significance and promotion value.
WATER SOLUBLE FIBERS WITH POST PROCESS MODIFICATIONS AND ARTICLES CONTAINING SAME
Methods of treating fibers comprising a polymer including at least one of a vinyl acetate moiety or a vinyl alcohol moiety, and resulting fibers or the products comprising the resulting fibers are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a fiber having a surface region and an interior region, includes a polymer comprising at least one of a vinyl acetate moiety or a vinyl alcohol moiety chemically modified with a modification agent. The fiber has a transverse cross-section including the interior region comprising the polymer having a first degree of modification and the surface region comprising the polymer having a second degree of modification greater than the first degree of modification.
