The present invention relates to an impregnation process for a fibrous substrate, a liquid composition for implementing this process and the obtained impregnated fibrous substrate. The impregnated fibrous substrate is suitable for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles. In particular the present invention deals with an industrial process for impregnating a fibrous substrate or long fibers with a viscous liquid composition containing mainly methacrylic or acrylic components. This viscous composition is called hereafter liquid (meth) acrylic syrup. The invention concerns also a fibrous substrate pre-impregnated with said syrup which is useful for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles. More particular the impregnation of fibrous substrate with the (meth) acrylic syrup is achieved in a closed mould. The present invention concerns also manufacturing process for manufacturing mechanical or structured parts or articles and three-dimensional mechanical or structured parts obtained by this process.

The present invention relates to an impregnation process for a fibrous substrate, a liquid composition for implementing this process and the obtained impregnated fibrous substrate. Method for Modifying Polyester by Swelling Agent Combined with Cutinase
The present disclosure relates to a method for modifying polyester by a swelling agent combined with cutinase, belonging to the technical field of textile processing. According to the method, a phenol solution or an o-vanillin solution is used as the swelling agent to perform swelling treatment on the polyester, and combined with a Humicola insolens cutinase solution to perform hydrophilic modification on the polyester, which not only significantly improves the release amount of hydrolysates, but also reduces the fabric mass loss compared with the traditional chemical modification method.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an elastic fiber treating agent that can improve the morphological characteristics of elastic fibers; and elastic fibers that have the elastic fiber treating agent adhered thereto. This elastic fiber treating agent is characterized by containing: at least one smoothing agent (A) selected from mineral oil, silicone oil, and ester oil; and an unsaturated fatty acid metal salt (B).

A coated microfibrous web, a method for producing the same, the use thereof as a covering of a radiation protection material, and a radiation protection device are described. Methods of treating fibers comprising a polymer including at least one of a vinyl acetate moiety or a vinyl alcohol moiety, and resulting fibers or the products comprising the resulting fibers are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a fiber having a surface region and an interior region, includes a polymer comprising at least one of a vinyl acetate moiety or a vinyl alcohol moiety chemically modified with a modification agent. The fiber has a transverse cross-section including the interior region comprising the polymer having a first degree of modification and the surface region comprising the polymer having a second degree of modification greater than the first degree of modification.
