THREADLIKE ADHESIVE BODY
The present invention relates to a threadlike adhesive body including a threadlike core material and an adhesive layer for covering a surface of the core material in a longitudinal direction, in which the core material contains a biomass-derived component, and the threadlike adhesive body has a biomass degree of 35% or more.
Atmospheric-pressure plasma processing apparatus and method using argon plasma gas
An atmospheric pressure plasma processing apparatus and method employing argon as a plasma gas in the absence of helium, including nanosecond pulse-powered electrodes having planar surfaces, and grounded electrodes having planar surfaces parallel to the surfaces of the powered electrodes and spaced-apart a chosen distance therefrom, forming plasma regions, are described. The absence of helium from the plasma discharge has been found not to affect the quality of the resulting plasma-polymerized coatings of the processed substrates.
PROTECTIVE GARMENT
A protective garment, gussets for protective garments, and individual gusset layers, being a moisture wicking layer, a core moisture absorbing layer and a moisture impermeable layer, and combinations thereof. The moisture wicking layer including a double knit fabric wherein a technical face of the fabric forms an eyelet mesh utilising both hydrophilic and hydrophobic yarns and a technical back of the fabric forms an interlock utilising only hydrophilic yarns. The moisture absorbing layer including a sinker terry fabric knit comprising sinker loops with plush loops made form synthetic fibres treated with a hydrolysing enzyme that splits the fibres into fibrils. The moisture impermeable layer including a base fabric knit laminated with a polyurethane sheet.
Noise control article
A conformable noise control article useful reducing noise in a motor vehicle is provided. The article includes a nonwoven fiber web that is impregnated with a polymeric matrix composition having low (Tg) and high (Tg) polymers, additives and inorganic fillers. The density of the noise control article is at least ten times more than the density of the nonwoven fiber web. The article has an air flow resistivity that is at least ninety times greater than the air flow resistivity of a bare nonwoven web and exhibits a sound transmission loss in the frequency spectrum of 125 Hz to 5000 Hz.
TEXTILES AND ARTICLES AND PROCESSES FOR MAKING THE SAME
Films, fibers, filaments, yarns and textiles including thermoplastic elastomeric compositions are described, as are methods of making the films, fibers, filaments, yarns and textiles. These films, fibers, filaments, yarns and textiles can be used to make articles of apparel, footwear, and sporting equipment. When thermoformed, the thermoplastic elastomeric compositions can impart abrasion resistance, traction, and other advantageous properties to the articles. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
AQUEOUS EMULSION INCLUDING INTERPENETRATING NETWORK OF SILICON RESIN AND ORGANIC POLYMERS
An aqueous emulsion comprising an aqueous continuous phase and a discontinuous oil phase comprising particles having an interpenetrating network (IPN) comprising: i) an MQ resin, ii) a polyorganosiloxane and iii) an organic polymer.
RECYCLING METHOD OF POLYESTER WOOL BLENDED FABRIC
Provided is a recycling method of polyester wool blended fabric, which includes the following. A polyester wool blended fabric containing a dye is put into an acidic aqueous solution containing an oxidizing agent for heating and soaking, so as to degrade a wool in the polyester wool blended fabric, and perform decolorization at the same time to remove the dye. After that, a polyester fabric is obtained by filtration.
PORTABLE DRY RECREATIONAL SLIDE
A portable dry recreational slide is configured to be easily carried by a single person when in a compacted state and expanded into a deployed state in a remote location as desired. The dry recreational slide, when deployed, is elongated and includes a low-friction sliding surface upon which a rider may slide without application of water, oil, soap or any other temporary lubricant. The dry slide comprises a slide body having a lightweight, flexible substrate coated with a low-friction material.
Water-repellent and lipophilic composite needle-punched nonwoven fabric and preparation method thereof
The invention relates to a water-repellent and lipophilic composite needle-punched nonwoven fabric and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: blending a PET fiber and a polyolefin-based fiber in a mass ratio of 3:1-1:3, and performing needle punching to obtain a composite needle-punched nonwoven fabric; carrying out hot-drying treatment on the composite needle-punched nonwoven fabric at 110-160° C. for 40-90 min; and carrying out water-repellent finishing on the hot-dried fabric using 50-70 mL/L of an aqueous solution of a modified resin-based fluorine-free waterproofing agent, and drying to obtain the water-repellent and lipophilic composite needle-punched nonwoven fabric, wherein the water-repellent finishing is dip rolling, the air pressure is 1.8 kPa and the liquid carrying rate is 160-230%. The preparation method of the invention is simple, and the prepared composite needle-punched nonwoven fabric has significantly improved water repellency, lipophilicity and tensile strength compared with the fabric before treatment.
Soil-resistant fiber fabric and method for producing same
A soil-resistant fiber fabric having excellent water/oil repellency and excellent soil dirt resistance is obtained by fixing colloidal silica to a fiber fabric, and by subsequently treating the fiber fabric with a water/oil repellent fluorine compound, thereby having the water/oil repellent fluorine compound adhere to a surface of the fiber fabric.
