Infill For Artificial Turf System
An artificial turf system includes a turf assembly having a turf backing and stands of artificial grass blades extending from the turf backing to form an artificial turf layer. Infill material is placed in between the blades of artificial grass and on top of the turf backing. The infill material has a composition of sand in an amount within the range of from about 80 to about 98 percent of the infill by dry bulk weight, and organic particles in an amount within the range of from about 2 to about 20 percent of the infill by dry bulk weight.
SCRIM-REINFORCED CUSHION MAT FOR CARPET TILES
A carpet tile includes a textile top member and a cushion mat that is coupled with the textile top member via a thermoplastic material. The textile top member includes carpet yarns and a backing that is coupled with the carpet yarns so that the backing structurally supports the carpet yarns. The cushion mat includes a polymeric material component having polymer fibers that are randomly oriented and entangled together and a scrim reinforcement that is disposed within the polymeric material component. The scrim reinforcement reinforces and stabilizes the polymeric material component and is entirely covered and concealed by the intermeshed polymer fibers.
PERFORMANCE INFILL FOR GRASS FIELDS, PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF, AND GRASS FIELDS COMPRISING SAID PERFORMANCE INFILL
Performance infill for grass fields is disclosed, as well as a process for the production of performance infill, and to grass fields including such performance infill.
Carpet coating compositions
The invention relates to the use of mixtures that contain an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate polymer and an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer for carpet coating compositions, and corresponding carpet coating compositions, as well as carpets which are coated with such carpet coating compositions.
Polyurethane roller coating process for carpet backing
A method for preparing carpet by using polyurethane to anneal secondary backing to a greige, comprising fibers attached to a primary backing using a roller application system. The greige is conditioned prior to coating and the polyurethane coated greige is contacted with the secondary backing and the laminate is tensioned and supported to maintain the laminate structure substantially through the polyurethane curing process.
Illuminated fiber-based vehicle trim components and flooring
A light-emitting carpet or light-emitting trim panel that employs a translucent polymer sheet that has a protective layer and a plurality of cavities configured to accept a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged to generate light where the LEDs are configured to align and project into the polymeric sheet cavities.
Aqueous, polyvinyl alcohol stabilized vinyl acetate-ethylene-copolymer dispersion having high filler compatibility for carpet coating compositions
The invention relates to an aqueous vinyl acetate-ethylene-copolymer dispersion for carpet coating compositions, which is obtained by means of radical-initiated emulsion polymerization, in an aqueous medium, of vinyl acetate and ethylene and optionally additional ethylenically unsaturated comonomers, characterized in that, for stabilization of the dispersion, 5 to 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the comonomers, of one or a plurality of partially saponified and low-molecular polyvinyl alcohols having a hydrolysis degree of 80 to 95 mol % and a Hppler viscosity, in 4% aqueous solution, of 1 to 5 mPas (method according to Hppler at 20 C., DIN 53015) are contained.
Tufted carpet
A tufted carpet comprising a secondary backing which defines a volume being a parallelepiped having three pair of parallel faces, a first pair of parallel faces defining a upper surface of the secondary backing and a lower face of the tufted carpet, at least a second pair of parallel faces being inclined with respect to the first pair of parallel faces under an angle ?1 less than 90?, preferably in the range of 10 to 87?, the angle being the smallest angle measured between the planes defining the first pair of parallel faces and second pair of parallel faces.
Textile floor-covering with liquid blocking surface
A composite floor-covering comprising a fabric face layer, a barrier layer and a cushion backing layer is disclosed. The fabric face layer is attached to the barrier layer by a first adhesive layer and the barrier layer is attached to the cushion backing layer by a second adhesive layer. The fabric face layer on the composite floor covering can stretch up to an initial amount under a first pressure and can stretch beyond under a second pressure wherein the second pressure is higher than the first pressure. The composite floor-covering has a water vapor transmission rate of less than about 5.0 cm.sup.3/m.sup.2/24 hour at 100 F. and 90% RH.
Processes for producing flexible polyurethane foam laminates and laminates produced thereby
Disclosed are continuous compression molding processes for producing a flexible polyurethane foam laminate and laminates produced thereby, which may be suitable for use, for example, as a carpet underlayment.
