A laminated surface covering including a facing material made of vinyl and a backing material comprising a rubber component. The rubber component comprising at least a matrix of bonded rubber granules. A bonding material disposed between the facing material and the backing material. The facing material configured to melt at a temperature between 165 F. and 248 F. infiltrating the backing material thereby essentially encasing the rubber granules of the matrix and providing fire retardation and smoke suppression qualities.

A foamed, opacifying element has a porous substrate composed of woven yarn strands composed of a thermoplastic polymer-coated multifilament core. It has a dry foamed composition on an opposing surface of the substrate, which includes: (a) 0.1-40 weight % of porous particles; (b) 10-80 weight %; (c) 0.2-50 weight % of one or more additives selected from the group consisting of dispersants, plasticizers, flame retardants, optical brighteners, thickeners, biocides, fungicides, tinting colorants, metal flakes, and inert inorganic or organic fillers; (d) less than 5 weight % of water; and (e) at least 0.002 weight % of an opacifying colorant different from all of the one or more additives of (c), which opacifying colorant absorbs electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of 380-800 nm. The elements have a light-blocking value (LBV) of at least 4 and can have a bending stiffness that is greater than 0.15 milliNewtons-meter.

A decorative sheet includes a fiber base material and a first pattern. The first pattern decorates a surface of the fiber base material. The first pattern is formed by a resin portion made of resin. The resin portion adheres to the surface of the fiber base material. In the first pattern, a height of the resin portion from the surface of the fiber base material changes on the surface of the fiber base material.

Disclosed are an artificial leather used as an interior material for automobiles and a method for manufacturing the same, in one aspect a polymer plasticizer, a PVC resin and a foaming agent. The soft artificial leather for interior materials of automobiles includes a skin layer including a PVC resin and a primary plasticizer, wherein the skin layer further includes higher than 0 and not higher than 15 phr of a polymer plasticizer. As a result, there are effects of reducing heating loss and suppressing migration of the plasticizer.

A synthetic resin skin material and a manufacturing method thereof, the synthetic resin skin material including, in this order: a base fabric; a thermoplastic resin layer having a storage elastic modulus at 160? A composite roofing membrane containing a single ply roofing membrane containing a first membrane, a scrim, and a second membrane. The first side of the first membrane forms the upper surface of the composite roofing membrane and contains a thermoplastic polymer. The scrim has a machine and cross-machine direction and contains a yarn or fiber selected from the group consisting of polyester and glass, and a tensile strength in the machine direction is at least about 100 N/cm.sup.2. The second membrane contains a thermoplastic polymer. The composite roofing membrane also contains a fire resistant fleece containing a plurality of FR rayon staple fibers and a plurality of char scaffold fibers selected from the group consisting of partially oxidized acrylonitrile and silica staple fibers.

A glass fiber mat comprises glass fibers of a first kind, glass fibers of a second kind and a binding agent. Glass fibers of the first kind in this case are characterized by a mean fiber diameter of under 6 m and compliance with the EC Protocol ECB/TM/27 rev. 7 and glass fibers of the second kind by a mean fiber diameter of over 6 m.
