20230404174 · 2023-12-21 · ·

The invention involves the technical field of daily necessities, and in particular, relates to an easy-to-clean waterproof and breathable bib fabric, a preparation method, and a bib. A layer structure of the bib fabric is as follows: a hydrophobic and oleophobic surface layer, a polyurethane waterproof layer, an antibacterial and antistatic layer, and a woven layer. The hydrophobic and oleophobic surface layer has waterproof and breathable properties, is not easy to be adhered to by dirt, and is easy to clean. The polyurethane waterproof layer keeps liquids from penetrating the fabric, and the porous structure also allows for breathability. The antibacterial and antistatic layer can remove the static electricity generated by the fabric, protect the polyurethane waterproof layer from being decomposed by molds, inhibit the growth of bacteria inside the woven layer, and produce antibacterial and deodorizing effects. Further, a bib using the fabric and a preparation method are provided.

Textile fabrics consolidated with a binder that is made from a binder system are described. The binder system may include: a) 30% or less by dry weight of at least one polymer based on polyvinyl alcohol; b) 70% or more by dry weight of at least one starch, wherein the at least one starch comprises 50% by weight or more of one or more natural starches based on the total weight of the at least one starch; c) 0 to 10% by dry weight of at least one crosslinker; d) 0 to 10% by dry weight of at least one filler; and e) 0 to 10% by dry weight of at least one additive, wherein a sum of components a) through e) is 100% by dry weight of the binder system. Method of making the textile fabrics consolidated with binders made from the binder systems are also described.

TEXTURED FABRIC SURFACES SEALED WITH OVERLAID POLYMERIC LAYERS

A textile fabric with a three-dimensional contour that blocks fluid penetration at the surface is created by attaching a solid liquid-blocking polymeric layer conforming to the contours of the surface to a fabric layer. The surface includes elevated areas, depressed areas, a plurality of surface fibers and gaps among the plurality the plurality of surface fibers. The liquid-blocking polymeric layer is forced to follow the contours of the surface fibers and gaps using vacuum, heat and forced air. The resulting textile fabric maintains a textile appearance.

Article and Method of Making the Same

The article (100) comprises a textile body (101), a conductive region (103) and an embossing material (105). The embossing material 105 causes the conductive region (103) to adopt and retain a raised, embossed, profile (107) that projects outwardly from a surface (102) of the textile body (101). The method comprises applying heat and/or pressure to the article (100) to cause the article (100) to adopt the embossed profile (107). The raised, embossed, profile (107) is retained upon release of the applied heat and/or pressure as the embossing material (105) has bonded to the textile body (101) due to the application of heat and/or pressure.

Polyurethane Coated Fabric Products

A polyurethane-coated fabric product, particularly a polyurethane-coated glove, has a fabric liner and, on the surface of the liner, a microporous foam layer comprising polyurethane and a bifunctional sulphur-containing alkoxysilane. The microporous foam layer exhibits increased abrasion resistance, durability and increased resistance to water penetration. Preferably, the bifunctional sulphur-containing alkoxysilane is bis(triethoxysilylpropyl)tetrasulphane. The polyurethane-coated fabric product is manufactured by a method that includes providing a fabric liner, applying a io coating to at least part of the surface of the liner, wherein the coating comprises a solution, in a polar aprotic solvent, of a polyurethane resin and a bifunctional sulphur-containing alkoxysilane, treating the coated fabric with water, thereby causing the polyurethane to coagulate and form a microporous foam layer on the fabric liner, and drying the polyurethane-coated fabric is product.
