Supercritical fluid material finishing
Methods are directed to the use of a supercritical fluid for finishing a target material with a finishing material. One or more variables selected from temperature, pressure, flow rate, and time are manipulated to increase efficiencies in the finishing process. As temperature or pressure are decreased causing a change in the density of a supercritical fluid carbon dioxide, which in turn causes a precipitation of dissolved material finish with the carbon dioxide, other variables are maintained above threshold values to increase the uptake of the material finish by the target material. This improvement reduces time by limiting cleaning processes of the system, saves materials used in the cleaning process, and saves energy used to achieve cycles of the process, in aspects.
Method for treating textile material and corresponding treatment apparatus
A method for treating textile material (13) to attach dyes, such as synthetic or natural dyes, or to apply bleaches to said textile material (13). The method provides a first step of pre-impregnation of the textile material (13) with an impregnation liquid and a second step of heating the impregnation liquid and the possible dyes or bleaches, through contact of said textile material (13) with at least one heated drum (20), and subsequent vaporization of said impregnation liquid, said textile material (13) being selectively movable on said heated drum (20), subjected to an adjustable pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, a strip (18) being present and exerting on said textile material (13) an adjustable pressure against the heated drum (20).
Sublimation printing on hide or leather
A process of sublimation printing on hide or leather, a laminar substrate to be used in such a sublimation printing process, hide or leather treated to be printable, as well as hide or leather printed by said process of sublimation printing, are described.
TRANSFER PAPER
The present invention relates to a transfer paper, which is: (i) a transfer paper without a coating layer, which comprises a pulp, a filler and an urea phosphate esterified starch, or (ii) a transfer paper having a coating layer, which comprises a base paper and one or more coating layer(s) provided on at least one side of the base paper, wherein an outermost coating layer positioned on the outermost side with respect to the base paper contains at least kaolin, calcium carbonate and a binder, wherein, () the base paper contains an urea phosphate esterified starch, or () the outermost coating layer contains an urea phosphate esterified starch.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a transfer paper excellent in image deterioration resistance, color development property, adhesion property and strike-through suppression property.
METHODS FOR DYEING ULTRA-HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE AND DYED ARTICLES MADE BY THE SAME
Dyed articles, such as sutures, and methods for making the same by treating with a supercritical liquid are disclosed. The articles may be made at least partially, if not entirely, from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The dye may be D&C Violet #2.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FOAMED FABRIC
A method for manufacturing a foamed fabric includes providing a fabric which includes at least one layer including a plurality of first foamable filaments made from a first foamable polymeric material, infusing the fabric with a supercritical fluid in a pressurized vessel, subjecting the infused fabric to a depressurizing process to permit the at least one layer to undergo an initial stage of foaming so as to obtain a pre-foamed fabric, placing the pre-foamed fabric in a mold cavity, and heating the mold cavity to obtain a molded foamed fabric.
Supercritical fluid rolled or spooled material finishing
Methods are directed to the use of a supercritical fluid for performing a dyeing of a material such that dye from a first material is used to dye a second material. A supercritical fluid is passed through a first material in a pressurized vessel. The supercritical fluid transports the dye from the first material to at least a second material causing a dye profile of the second material to change as a result of dye from the first material perfusing the second material.
Dyeing device and dyeing apparatus
A dyeing device adapted to move in a high pressure space having a fluid is provided. The dyeing device includes a magnetic dyeing shaft and a dye mixing chamber connected to the magnetic dyeing shaft. The magnetic dyeing shaft is configured to make a fiber product wind thereon, and the dye mixing chamber is configured to store dye, and the dye mixing chamber is adapted to let the fluid in the high pressure space flow through. A dyeing apparatus including the dyeing device is also provided.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE TRANSFER OF COLOR AND OTHER PHYSICAL PROPERTIES TO FIBERS, BRAIDS, LAMINATE COMPOSITE MATERIALS, AND OTHER ARTICLES
A method of transferring a dye to a fiber, braid or composite material comprising applying the dye to a transfer paper to create a dye transfer paper, placing the colored transfer media into contact with the fiber, braid or composite material over an expandable rig or expanding structure such as a metal tube, and applying at least one of heat, pressure, or vacuum to infuse the dye to the fiber, braid or composite material, creating a colored fiber, braid or composite material having minimal to no adverse changes to the physical properties of the fiber, braid or composite material.
