AN OCEANOGRAPHIC BUOY MOORING SYSTEM AND THE MIXED ROPE USED THEREFOR
A mixed rope used for oceanographic buoy mooring system, comprises mixed core rope of metal and fiber and cover rope, wherein, the mixed core rope of metal and fiber comprises metal coil spring and fiber supporting core inside the metal coil spring; the cover rope is woven of several number of twisted strand; the mass content of the mixed core rope of metal and fiber is not greater than 20% of the mass of mixed rope, the mass content of the cover rope is not less than 80% of the mass of the mixed rope. Mixed rope used for oceanographic mooring system disclosed in present embodiments has small linear density and high fracture strength, may be used as data communication channel from under-water sensor to the over-water receiver, being soft, light and easy to deploy, the mixed rope can be used as the upper part of the oceanographic buoy mooring system with prospective application.
TENSION MEMBER AND BELT FOR ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A tension member for an elevator system includes a rope formed from a plurality of steel fibers extending along the length of the tension member. A coating at least partially encapsulates the rope. The coating includes a core/shell block copolymer composition. The tension member can be used in a belt and the belt can be used in an elevator system.
Running wire rope and method of manufacturing same
A wire rope formed from a resin core and six strands, the resin core having an inner core with a circular cross section and an outer layer built up on the periphery thereof. The outer layer has a melting temperature lower than that of the inner core. The six strands are twisted together helically on the periphery of the resin core in an intertwining die in such a state that gaps are assured between the strands. The resulting wire rope is heated in a heating unit at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the outer layer but lower than the melting temperature of the inner core. The wire rope is formed by subsequently compressing the six strands from the periphery thereof in a compressing die. The molten outer layer is hardened by natural cooling, after which the wire rope is taken up.
Rope and method for producing a rope
A method for producing a rope, wherein fiber bundles are applied with a liquefied matrix material upstream of and/or at a twisting point to form fiber strands, and are embedded into the liquefied matrix material during stranding, by which fiber strands a fiber core of the rope is formed and wires or wire strands are wound about the fiber core. The matrix material of the fiber strands is hardened after the stranding, and the fiber strands are subsequently stranded directly with one another without further application to form the fiber core. Preferably the fiber strands are heated, during or after the stranding thereof to form the fiber core, so that the matrix material softens at least individual of the fiber strands, preferably all the fiber strands, softens and connects with the matrix material of another of the fiber strands, and is subsequently hardened, forming an integral bond with one another.
WIRE ROPE, SHEAVE AND DRUM
An object of the present invention is to further improve upon the strength and durability of a wire rope. A wire rope has a core rope made of steel; a covering layer, which is made of a composite resin, covering the outer peripheral surface of the core rope; and multiple side strands, which are made of steel, wound on the outer peripheral surface of the core rope covered with the covering layer. The composite resin constituting the covering layer is obtained by blending cellulose nanofibers with polypropylene serving as a matrix.
Elevator rope and a manufacturing method therefor
In an elevator rope, an inner layer rope includes a fiber core that includes a. bundle of fibers; a plurality of inner layer rope strands that each include a plurality of steel wires are disposed around an outer circumference of the fiber core; and a resin inner layer rope coating body that is coated around an outer circumference of the fiber core and a layer of the inner layer rope strands. A plurality of outer layer strands each including a plurality of steel wires are disposed around an outer circumference of the inner layer rope coating body.
LOAD BEARING TRACTION MEMBERS AND METHOD
A lifting member for an elevator system is disclosed, including a rope formed from a plurality of strands comprising liquid crystal polymer fibers, with the strands extending along a length of the lifting member. A first polymer coating is disposed on outer surfaces of the fibers or on outer surfaces of the strands. A second polymer coating disposed over the first polymer coating.
CABLE BEAD AND AIRPLANE TIRE USING SAME
Provided are: a cable bead which can realize a weight reduction while maintaining the breaking pressure resistance; and an airplane tire including the same. A cable bead (10) includes: a core (1) composed of an annularly formed steel; and a sheath (3) composed of at least one sheath layer, which is formed by spirally winding a sheath filament (2) composed of a steel around the core (1). The sheath filament (2) has a carbon content of higher than 0.90% by mass but 0.95% by mass or less, and a chromium content of 0.15 to 0.30% by mass.
HYBRID COMPENSATION MEMBER
A compensation and tie-down member for an elevator system includes one or more lightweight compensation tension elements having a first tensile strength/unit mass/unit length, and one or more heavier weight compensation tension elements having a second tensile strength/unit mass/unit length less than the first tensile strength/unit mass/unit length.
Jacketed wire rope
A wire rope has a lubricated core, an inner jacket in contact with the core, and outer strands wrapped around the inner jacket. An outer jacket surrounds the outer strands and contacts the inner jacket to form an integrated jacket. A method of forming an integrated jacket for a wire rope in which an inner jacket is cold applied and an outer jacket is applied by application of molten material to the inner jacket.
