MANIPULATION ROPE
[Object] A manipulation rope having an excellent torque transmittability is provided.
[Solution] A manipulation rope 2 is a rope 2 that is advantageously used as a manipulation rope for a medical instrument, and includes a side wire 6 or a side strand which is an outermost layer, the side wire 6 or the side strand having a forming rate that is greater than 100% and not greater than 110%. The side wire or the side strand having been formed has a spiral shape in which a flatness that is an aspect ratio obtained by a major axis being divided by a minor axis is preferably not less than 1.01 and preferably not greater than 1.10. Further, an elongation of the rope at a time when a tensile load that is 1.0% of a breaking load is applied, is preferably not less than 0.04% and preferably not greater than 0.10%.

Travelling cable of an elevator, and an elevator
A travelling cable of an elevator, more particularly of a passenger transport elevator and/or freight transport elevator, includes a protective envelope, conductors for transmitting electrical energy and data between the elevator car and the elevator hoistway, and one or more load-bearing bearer parts of essentially the length of the travelling cable for fixing the travelling cable at its first end to the elevator car and at its second end to the elevator hoistway, and which bearer part includes glass-fiber reinforcements and/or aramid-fiber reinforcements and/or carbon-fiber reinforcements and/or polybenzoxazole-fiber reinforcements and/or polyethylene-fiber reinforcements and/or nylon-fiber reinforcements in a polymer matrix material. An elevator includes the travelling cable.
METHOD FOR FABRICATING STEEL WIRE CABLE COMPRISING ZINC- ALUMINIUM ALLOY PLATING
A method for fabricating a steel wire cable having a ZnAl alloy plating, the method including: arranging steel wires according to an arrangement rule at a cross section of the steel wire cable; controlling a length of the overall cable by a length of a central standard wire; twisting a bunch of the steel wires comprising a zinc-aluminum alloy plating with a torsion angle of between 2 and 4; wrapping the steel wire bunch with a polyester wrapping bandage and covering a resulting product with a double-layered protective polyethylene sheath; anchoring the two ends of the steel wire cable by anchors using fillers; and coiling the finished-product of the steel wire cables.

Cut-resistant cable structures and systems and methods for making the same
Cable structures of security systems may include multiple subassemblies having different cut-resistant characteristics. One system includes, inter alia, a portable article, a support, and a length of a cable assembly extending between a first cable end coupled to the portable article and a second cable end coupled to the support, where the cable assembly includes a first cable subassembly extending along at least a portion of the length of the cable assembly, and a second cable subassembly extending along at least the portion of the length of the cable assembly and adjacent to the first cable subassembly, and where the first cable subassembly includes a first cut resistant characteristic and the second cable subassembly includes a second cut resistant characteristic that is different than the first cut resistant characteristic.
