Stranding machine
A stranding machine is provided for producing a cord from a plurality of wires, preferably metal wires. The stranding machine has a stranding device for stranding the wires, including at least one rotatably mounted deflecting roller for deflecting the cord and at least one guide device for guiding the cord. The guide device is arranged in such a way that the cord can be guided on a straight line from the guide device to the deflecting roller in such a way that the cord is pressed against a first flank of the deflecting roller. As the cord is deflected by the deflecting roller, the cord moves from the first flank into the roller base of the deflecting roller.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING A CABLE
Systems and methods are provided for forming a cable. In one embodiment, a system for forming a cable comprises a non-driven roll station having a plurality of rolls for forming a shape of one or more strands associated with a first layer of the cable. Movement of the plurality of rolls of the non-driven roll station occurs passively during travel of the one or more strands associated with the first layer of the cable. The system further comprises a driven roll station having a plurality of rolls for forming a shape of one or more strands associated with a second layer of the cable. The plurality of rolls of the driven roll station are actively driven to effect movement and speed of the one or more strands associated with the second layer of the cable.
Counterclockwise twisted fiber material twisted together in counterclockwise direction to form a bow string and/or cable.
A string such as a bowstring or cable used in archery bows and crossbows include multiple strands. The multiple strands are not bound to each other but remain parallel and positioned side-by-side. The desired number of strands are laid up to a determined length and grouped together to create a bundle. The bundles can have different properties such as strength and stability depending on the direction the strands and bundles are twisted.
Elevator rope and elevator apparatus that uses same
In an elevator rope, an inner layer rope has: an inner layer rope fiber core; a plurality of inner layer strands; and a resin inner layer rope coating body that is coated onto an outer circumference. Inner layer strands are twisted together on an outer circumference of the inner layer rope fiber core. The inner layer strands have: an inner layer strand fiber core that is disposed centrally; and a plurality of steel inner layer strand wires that are twisted together on an outer circumference of the inner layer strand fiber core. In addition, a plurality of steel outer layer strands are twisted together on an outer circumference of the inner layer rope.
Cord for reinforcing rubber, method of manufacturing the cord, and rubber product using the cord
A reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement of the present invention that is used for reinforcing a rubber product is provided with a plurality of strands. The strand includes bundled fibers and a coating layer formed so as to cover the bundled fibers. The plurality of strands are in tight contact with one another via the coating layer. The coating layer contains a material that is crosslinkable by thermal treatment. A method of manufacturing the reinforcing cord for rubber reinforcement includes the steps of (i) forming strands that include bundled fibers and a coating layer formed so as to cover the bundled fibers, and (ii) bringing the strands into tight contact with one another via the coating layer by twisting the strands together. The coating layer contains a material that is crosslinkable by thermal treatment.

Belt for Carrying an Elevator Car and/or a Counterweight of an Elevator System
A belt for carrying an elevator car and/or a counterweight of an elevator system includes a belt body with a traction side for contacting a traction sheave of the elevator system and a back side opposite the traction side. The belt body has a groove profile on the traction side adapted to an outer contour of the traction sheave, and has a profile on the back side deviating from the groove profile. Multiple tension members are embedded in the belt body for transmitting tensile forces, wherein each tension member is formed by multiple strands twisted together, and each strand is formed by multiple aramid fibers twisted together.
