METHOD TO FORMULATE AND PRODUCE DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS OR FUNCTIONAL FOODS IN EFFERVESCENT SPHEROIDAL SHAPED TABLETS
This application discloses effervescent spheroidal shaped tablets for dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or functional foods, and methods for making and producing the tablets.
Sustained release oral dosage form containing dalfampridine
The present invention provides a sustained release oral dosage form containing dalfampridine that can be administered once daily. The dosage form includes dalfampridine as the active pharmaceutical ingredient and the excipients comprising osmotic agents in a tablet core. The sustained release oral dosage form of the present invention can be administrated once daily and can provide a proper fluctuation index to reduce undesired adverse effect, prevent alcohol-induced dose dumping and release drug at a rate sufficient to maintain certain drug plasma concentration.
TAMPER RESISTANT DOSAGE FORMS
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
ANIMAL FEED BOLUS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention relates to an animal feed bolus having two or more sections, wherein each section has a different composition. The different sections of the bolus are formulated to have different release times and/or to provide compositions with different nutritional purposes. Also described herein are methods for manufacturing such boluses, and methods for feeding an animal using such boluses.
RAPIDLY DISINTEGRATING GELATINOUS COATED TABLETS
The present invention relates to an improved gelatinous coated dosage form having two end regions coated with gelatinous materials and an exposed circumferential band. Openings are provided in at least the exposed band to reveal the core material. The invention also relates to methods for manufacturing such gelatinous coated dosage forms.
CRUSH RESISTANT DELAYED-RELEASE DOSAGE FORMS
The invention relates to a dosage form comprising a physiologically effective amount of a physiologically active substance (A), a synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural polymer (C), optionally one or more physiologically acceptable auxiliary, substances (B) and optionally a synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural wax (D), wherein the dosage form exhibits a resistance to crushing of at least 400 N and wherein under physiological conditions the release of the physiologically active substance (A) from the dosage form is at least partially delayed.
TAMPER RESISTANT DOSAGE FORMS
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical dosage forms, for example to a tamper resistant dosage form including an opioid analgesic, and processes of manufacture, uses, and methods of treatment thereof.
Methods and compositions for deterring abuse
Effective methods and compositions to deter abuse of pharmaceutical products (e.g., orally administered pharmaceutical products) including but not limited to immediate release, sustained or extended release and delayed release formulations for drugs subject to abuse comprising at least 10% by weight hydroxypropylcellulose; polyethylene oxide; and a disintegrant selected from the group consisting of crospovidone, sodium starch glycolate and croscarmellose sodium; wherein the ratio of hydroxypropylcellulose to polyethylene oxide on a weight basis is between about 10:1 and 1:10.
CONTROLLED RELEASE HYDROCODONE FORMULATIONS
A solid oral controlled-release dosage form of hydrocodone is disclosed, the dosage form comprising an analgesically effective amount of hydrocodone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and controlled release material.
BIOERODIBLE DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES
This invention relates to a bioerodible drug delivery device that can be implanted in a patient at or near an area in need of treatment. The bioerodible drug delivery device can be used to deliver a wide variety of different pharmaceutically active agents, and can do so at a controlled rate and over an extended period of time. The bioerodible drug delivery device includes a bioerodible polymeric outer housing with one or more delivery ports for delivering the pharmaceutically active agent(s) contained therein. The polymer used as the bioerodible polymeric outer housing is not substantially degraded during the dosing of the pharmaceutically active agent(s) in the bioerodible drug delivery device. The invention also provides methods of making the bioerodible drug delivery device and using it for the treatment of diseases and disorders.
