Profile Wire Conductor and A Power Cable
A profile wire conductor for an electric power cable, the profile wire conductor having a central longitudinal axis and including stranded individual profile wires arranged in concentric wire layers around the central longitudinal axis, the concentric wire layers including an inner wire layer of profile wires of a first type having a first radial cross sectional geometry, and an outermost wire layer of profile wires forming an outer surface of the profile wire conductor. At least one of the profile wires in the outermost wire layer being of a second type and having a second radial cross sectional geometry being different to the first radial cross sectional geometry, wherein the profile wires of the second type forms an indentation or protrusion in the outer surface of the profile wire conductor.
LONG LIVED SYNTHETIC ROPE FOR POWERED BLOCKS
Disclosed is a method for producing a high strength synthetic strength member containing rope and a resultant rope, comprising multiple layers of twisted and braided yarns, wherein individual sheaths enclosing individual strands are of a material such as HMPE, PTFE or UHMWPE with a lower decomposition temperature than the material of said strands being aramid, the method comprising subjecting parts of the rope to heat and tension thereby pre-stretching and creating a non-uniform or non-round shape of said strands, further choosing a combination of braid and twist angles as well as braid compressive forces to accommodate specific strength and elongation relation between the individual rope layers.

MOORING MEMBER
A mooring member comprises a rope configured for extending between a vessel floating in a body of water and an anchoring device. The mooring member comprises a plurality of functional elements, wherein a first functional element is wound onto at least a portion of the rope, a second functional element is wound onto the first functional element, and so on, until an outermost functional element is wound onto a second-to-outermost functional element. The functional elements are wound in a helical configuration, and are configured to provide at least one of the following functions: damage protection, buoyancy, optical detection, sonar detection, stiffness control, and anti-fouling.
Dragline bucket rigging system
An assembly and method for using a flexible tensile member as part of the rigging for a dragline bucket. The tensile member includes a stranded core surrounded by a separate armor layer. The armor layer assumes the form of a hollow cylinder having a substantial wall thickness. A significant gap is provided between the outward-facing surface of the stranded core and the inward-facing surface of the armor layer. This gap minimizes wear between the two elements during the normal bending and flexing of the tensile member. A first anchor is attached to a first end of the stranded core and a second anchor is attached to a second end of the stranded core. These anchors serve to transmit tension carried by the stranded core. A first end of the armor layer is also attached to the first anchor and a second end of the armor layer is attached to the second anchor.
Draw tape for cables or similar flexible elements
Draw tape for cables including an elongated flexible element made of a helical multifilament rope composed of three filaments or strands helically wound about a common longitudinal axis. According to an additional feature, the rope is hammered. Still according to an improvement, the rope is externally covered by a jacket.
ELEVATOR BELT WITH ADDITIVE LAYER
A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members, and a primary overlay layer applied to one or more of the plurality of tension members or at least a portion of the jacket material. An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car movable therein, and a belt operably connected to the elevator car to suspend and/or drive the elevator car along the hoistway. The belt includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a belt length, a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members, and a primary overlay layer applied to one or more of the plurality of tension members or at least a portion of the jacket material.
ROPE MADE OF TEXTILE FIBER MATERIAL
The invention relates to a rope made of a textile fibre material for applications in which a diagonal pull may occur, characterized in that the rope is a core/sheath rope the core (1) of which and the sheath of which are composed essentially of a textile fibre material the core (1) of which is stranded and which exhibits a force-fitting winding with a tensile element (2, 2, 2) between the core (1) and the sheath.
Method and device for producing a ribbon and a thread of bamboo fiber
The present invention relates to a method of producing a ribbon comprising bamboo fibers. The method comprises positioning the fibers on a conveyor and conveying the fibers in a transport direction, interconnecting the fibers by covering the fibers with thread and/or particles of a sticky material with at least one web forming device which is positioned above and/or below the conveyor and which ejects thread and/or particles. The formed thread and/or particles attaches to the fibers and forms a web which interconnects the fibers in order to form the ribbon and/or stitching the fibres together with at least one stitching device which is configured to stitch the individual fibers together in order to form the ribbon.
Steel cord and method of manufacturing rubber product
Steel cords have a stranded structure in which a plurality of sheath strands is intertwined around the outer circumferential surface of a core strand. The outer circumferential surface of the core strand is covered by a cushioning material made of nonwoven fabric or a resin film.
